I have some misc. stuff for sale.

I will list it here and update it as I can.
I have some things that have been in our basement and I have not touched since we bought our house 5 years ago.

Let me know if any of you have any interest.

And the prices listed are all negotiable.
That is what I have it listed for on my local Craig's list.

Laptop:
I have a Ferrari Laptop for sale. Now this I have used up until I got my iPad 2 about a month ago.
Here is my Craig's list post with it. I have all the specs and stuff on there.

Paintball Gun:
I have a Tippman 98 Custom Paintball gun.
It has been used 3 times total.
I have 2 air cannisters and a mask and a few other accessories that all come with it.
It is completely stock, so it looks like this:

They call it Custom because there are soo many things you can buy for it.
Here it is looking like an AK47:

Here it is looking pretty cool:

Sports Card Collection:

Sirius Satellite Radio:
It is a JVC KT-SR2000

Here is an actual pic of mine in my car:

I have a car kit for this and a home kit to hook to your home stereo. Everything is included along with the boombox below for it.

Boombox, JVC KS-SB200, for the radio:

Headlight Assemblies:
I also have a brand new set of headlight assemblies that come with all the bulbs in them for a 2000 Buick Regal.
I bought it for my car and found out that I had 2 wires that were corroded so I re-soldered them and everything works fine now.

The Ebay store I bought them from will take a return, but it is a 10% restocking fee and the buyer has to pay to ship them back.
I went to ship them back today...$50 was the cheapest due to the zip code in Gilbert, Arizona where they needed to be returned. They said the location is in a remote location so it is more expensive to ship there.
I paid $100 for both sides. They fit and work great. Most stores charge $100 just for 1 side.

Make me an offer if you are interested in an item.

I believe this is it for now. I may have more once we actually start cleaning it out, which will happen soon.

What is the paypal shipping scam?
Sorry this may seem long...but here is your answer...This is the most common one that I have seen.

For an example, let's say you are selling an ipod. item for say $100.
Someone contacts you and says, I will send you a check for $150 total and the extra money will cover shipping. Even though you state in your ad that shipping is only $12.

The Answer......
There is no buyer.

There is only a scammer trying to steal your ipod.

The scammer isn't interested in your identity or bank account only in convincing you to ship your possession to him without him sending a penny.

The next email will be from another of the scammer's fake names and free email addresses pretending to be "ebay/yahoo/paypal buyer's protection program" saying "kindly send the tracking number and we will release the funds".

Paypal does NOT send such emails, ever. Paypal does NOT have escrow or money holding services like that scammer describes. Paypal does NOT demand you send a tracking number before money is sent. EVER. No exceptions.

Now that you have responded to a scammer, you are on his 'potential sucker' list, he will try again to separate you from your cash. He will send you more emails from his other free email addresses using another of his fake names with all kinds of stories of being the perfect buyer, great jobs, lottery winnings, millions in the bank and desperate, lonely, sexy singles. He will sell your email address to all his scamming buddies who will also send you dozens of fake emails all with the exact same goal, you sending them your cash via Western Union or moneygram.

You could post up the email address and the emails themselves that the scammer is using, it will help make your post more googlable for other suspicious potential victims to find when looking for information.

Do you know how to check the header of a received email? If not, you could google for information. Being able to read the header to determine the geographic location an email originated from will help you weed out the most obvious scams and scammers. Then delete and block that scammer. Don't bother to tell him that you know he is a scammer, it isn't worth your effort. He has one job in life, convincing victims to send him their hard-earned cash.

Whenever suspicious or just plain curious, google everything, website addresses, names used, companies mentioned, phone numbers given, all email addresses, even sentences from the emails as you might be unpleasantly surprised at what you find already posted online. You can also post/ask here and every scam-warner-anti-fraud-busting site you can find before taking a chance and losing money to a scammer.

If you google "yahoo buyer's protection program scam", "fake paypal email scam", "ebay escrow fraud" or something similar you will find hundreds of posts from victims and near victims of this type of scam.

My personal recommendation
The easiest way to avoid these issues is to first, ignore those emails. And that is why in my Craigslist ads, I state that I will not ship, local pickup only. Cash only!
On Ebay, I understand, you cannot deal with people face to face. But just be aware of the many different scams out there.
On Craigslist though, I only deal face to face. Just FYI to everyone.
