How to embed EASports videos into recaps!
I worked with Holmey on this and he got it figured out....
So I am assuming everyone knows how to get to EASportsworld and see the videos that you have uploaded..
Once you click on the envelope for the particular video you want to upload, you get a bunch of embeded code that is copied...as shown below.
Go into your recap and paste the code and it should look like this:
<img style="visibility:hidden;width:0px;height:0px;" border=0 width=0 height=0 src="http://counters.gigya.com/wildfire/IMP/ ... 9mPTA=.gif" /><object width="640" height="360"><param name="wmode" value="transparent" valuetype="data" /><param name="movie" value="http://cdn.www.easports.com/static/383. ... .swf?file=http://cdn.content.easports.com/media20 ... EO_YjI.flv&link=http://www.easports.com/media/play/vide ... top&image=" valuetype="data" /><embed src="http://cdn.www.easports.com/static/383. ... player.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="640" height="360" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="height=360&width=640&file=http://cdn.content.easports.com/media20 ... bject><div style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;"><a href="http://www.easports.com/" target="_top" shape="rect">EA Sports</a>: <a href="http://www.easports.com/media/play/video/43251202" target="_top" shape="rect">NCAA Football 11 Video</a></div>
You can delete everything except for the one line that actually has the video file link...it can be seen above in red
What you are looking for is this:
http://cdn.content.easports.com/media20 ... EO_YjI.flv
Then in your recap, you would place that line between [easportsworld][/easportsworld]
So in your recap it would look like:
[easportsworld]http://cdn.content.easports.com/media20 ... EO_YjI.flv[/easportsworld]
And as Holmey mentioned, it is always better to save these videos on youtube as EASports only lets you save like 6 videos or so and once you get anything newer, it automatically deletes your oldest video. So that would then break the link to that video in your older recap(s).

The ea replays codes must be different. I'm trying to get the one where you puts your highlights into one video to play. What do I need to take out of this? I've tried a few and either is never starts of I get error.

Lytezout...I am not sure and cannot play around with it while at my day job...
You are sure that is everything you get from the data that is copied?
I ask because when you encode the video on the game itself, it takes the video off the game and makes a .flv file out of it and I do not see that anywhere in your code.
I do not have experience with the mashup...is that an option on the easports website?
If so, I can maybe mess with it tonight with Holmey again if he has time.

Re: How to embed EASports videos into recaps!
Holmey, I created a video and here is the data that I pulled out of the embed code for the mashup videos...It is a tool that EASports allows you to use to put together up to 5 videos and audio.
http://cdn.www.easports.com/static/383. ... TA_msi.xml http://cdn.www.easports.com/static/383. ... mashup.swf http://cdn.content.easports.com/media/4 ... bject><div http://www.easports.com/" target="_top" shape="rect">EA Sports</a>: <a http://www.easports.com/media/play/high ... l/46694335" target="_top" shape="rect">Miami (OH) VS Oregon State</a></div>
In looking at this, I believe it is going to the following location for the video....
http://cdn.content.easports.com/media/4 ... TA_msi.xml
Here is a regular EASports.com video file location:
http://cdn.content.easports.com/media20 ... EO_KjL.flv
Any way that you know of to get this to work?

Re: How to embed EASports videos into recaps!
sorry Holmey, i started this mess by showing JD how to do this in the first place, then he showed me how to add audio... Anyhow, on Ld, this is how i would group my vids. So if you can figure it out (which im sure is very easy for you) then great if not, i ll sign up on you tube and go that route.The_Niddler wrote:Holmey, I created a video and here is the data that I pulled out of the embed code for the mashup videos...It is a tool that EASports allows you to use to put together up to 5 videos and audio.

Great work guys.
Just got done transferring my stats/recaps over to the new site and this worked perfectly and is MUCH easier than the way of doing it on LD.
Niddler and Matt, solid work fellas, appreciate it.

Re: How to embed EASports videos into recaps!
It will be better to take the videos off of EASports and download and save them to your pc and then upload to youtube anyways.
The problem I am seeing, once you create the mashup video, there is no download option for these. Only for the individual videos do I see a download option.
As Holmey mentioned, since EASports only lets you save like 5 videos or so and once you get anything newer, it automatically deletes your oldest video.
So that would then break the link to that video in your older recap(s).

Re: How to embed EASports videos into recaps!
Any updates to this for the updates to EA sports world and the fact that there is no more league daddy.
Niddler. You say "Once you click on the envelope for the particular video you want to upload, you get a bunch of embeded code that is copied...as shown below."
I don't see any envelope anymore. I just see options to upload to my pc or like on facebook or tweet a link.
I uploaded it to my youtube channel and I am going to mess with that.
* Found the other thread. TY
