FF Trade Advice

Post by Bernie32 »

Some guy is offering me Ronnie Brown and Hakeem Nicks for Steven Jackson.

Non-PPR, Regular scoring with 3 point bonuses for 100 yard games rushing or receiving.

Benson is my other HB. My WR's are Santana Moss and Steve Smith (CAR). And my flex is M. Clayton, J. Harrison or S.Holmes (when he gets back).

I am leaning towards no cause I don't think the upgrade at WR offsets the downgrade at HB. But wanted some other input.

Agreed, wouldn't do it.

Brown can't play a full season and Bradford / Jackson / Clayton could be the core of a very solid offense. Nicks is nice, but he seems like the type to just disappear at times.

That's reasonable for both teams, imo.

The Nicks/Brown combo is going to be more explosive... so with the depth that you have, that's a good thing to have. At the end of the season, I think those combos should be about even in total scoring.

no idea why you're trading a #1 and a back that doesn't share carries for a #2 and a back that gets about 60%

If i was the other guy I would put a bandana over my face while I was accepting that trade to make it a true robbery

heres my team (non-ppr 10 team)

QB - Brett Favre, Ben Roethlisberger

RB - Chris Johnson, Deangelo Williams, Jahvid Best, Marion Barber, Fred Jackson

WR- Brandon Marshall, Marques Colston, Hines Ward, Sidney Rice, Mark Clayton

TE - Jason Witten

D - 49ers, Chargers (i usually just play matchups)

K - Jeff Reed

i'm looking to trade either Best or Deangelo and either Barber/Ward for an upgrade at running back. i have an offer out Deangelo and Barber for Ray Rice. another guy offered me MJD for Best and Marshall. i also put out a Best/Marshall for Peterson

looking for some insight here. should i stay the course as i like my team when Big Ben comes back or should i try to sell Best here while he's at highs and get a more established stud and roll the dice with Hines as my starter if i trade Marshall.

Keep Best, imo. I've been high on him since the preseason. I really think he's a legit stud and future top 5 back. (even this year!) He is very explosive! Once Stafford returns, which looks to be much sooner than originally thought (maybe 2 weeks out?), that offense is going to really open up.

You've got excess depth and in a 10 team league, you can normally find more on the FA market.

I'm always a fan of trading my #3 / #4 guys to get a #2. (even more so in a 10 team!)

With that said, if you could move Barber + Ward for any type of upgrade, then that's a steal.

Do you think he's dumb enough to let you put Barber in place of Best and drop Cooley off his side of the deal?

no definitely not.

this league is a huge entry and most teams are partners so its really hard to get a trade worked out.

If it's the huge... do the research... take a look at the matchups down the stretch, during playoff time.

well he rejected it, basically I like Nicks and think he has huge upside with the Giants running game problems. And I dislike Benson. I know I am downgrading at RB, but upgrading at WR. And Clayton is only a #1 with the Rams, talent wise he is not a #1. But he countered but I don't like it, so now it's on to counter-counter cause he wants a QB now. So McNabb (my backup) and Clayton for Cassel and Nicks.

keeper league? pretty fair IMO, just depends on your preferences I guess. Best doesn't have a huge sample to judge fully yet, and Williams is sharing time + injury prone and your getting a Top 3 RB + Top 3 WR, but not as young.

grab that. Randy in a contract year, and as my boss and loyal season ticket holder told me today, Tom Brady is sacrificing wins and losses just to throw it deep to Randy Moss when it's not a good idea

So i got a interesting trade offer today....

Maurice Jones Drew for Randy Moss

Now i have pretty good depth in my league at WR, Nicks, Maclin, Mark Clayton, Garcon, and Demaryius Thomas. But my Rbs are a little shaky, Charles, Ronnie Brown, Jonathan Stewart and Portis. I would love a true top 5 RB on my team since i have Brees as my QB.

I was thinking about trying to trade Moss and Stewart for MJD and Ward. Just to keep up my WR depth.

What are your guys thoughts! What should i do?

its an interesting offer but your wr's are all question marks after Moss.

in 99% of the cases i'd take the deal in a heartbeat. but in this case i'd rather start Portis, Ronnie Brown, Moss, Nicks, ? wr

then start Brown, MJD, Nicks, ?wr , ?wr

if you really love Clayton, Garcon and/or Thomas then i'd make the deal. but i personally don't think i would do it.
