NDL Forum

This is a simple one.

Are you a barfly? Do you have "your seat" at the bar? Is your drink ready before you get done shaking hands? Do you have multiple bars where this happens?

I ask because I see so many great stories here on the forums over the years, but very few have anything to do with a bar.

Bars suck.

I'm not a barfly but I do tend to piggie back off three friends that are well known. At one bar they have a drink named after them. When I go out with them I just have them buy the drinks and the doubles end up being just giant shot glasses with a dash of coke.

Before I had a son I could be mistaken for a barfly. Got to know the owners really well. Went on vacation with them, the whole staff knew me and what I ate. On sundays I was allowed to refill my own drinks when it wasnt busy. Stayed to help the staff drink after closing, ect...

After my son was born I stopped going as much and then the owners sold the property and the placed sucked. They just purchase a new bar but it is too far to go there often.

I am just trying to find SOMEONE who goes to the bar every fucking day save for Monday.

Probably.

when i was living in NYC and single i went to a strip club to start my night about 4 nights a week. never stayed for more then an hour, i never got a dance, every girl knew me, i fucked a bunch of them and i would go there because i enjoyed the hot/friendly bartenders and everyone there knew me by name.

once i moved, i never had a spot like that anymore.

you know, I am starting to realize you and Trendon are a lot alike except you have higher standards and he hates a lot more.

I used to use a strip joint as my jump off for the same exact reason. However, I slept with one and I swore I'd never do it again. They redefine batshit insane. Also, I bet your place was much nicer than mine. My spot was in Newburgh, lol.

When I ran the bar in Westchester ... I barely drank. I know the feeling.

I am not a barfly anymore. I used to be but the bar changed ownership and I moved.

i would say Trendon and I could be brothers if that makes sense. We're very alike on some things and couldn't be more different on other things. I also would love to strangle him and beat the shit out of him most of the time, but no matter what i'd always end it with a laugh and a beer.
