I am having a hell of a time importing the UCLA roster from their website. Is someone else going to do this because I can't get it right and really don't want to enter in the whole team by hand. I'm trying to use excell and put it in the right format for a mass import, but it is not working right. Please help...

Nevermind, I got mine in. Just took some time putting in commas on the spreadsheet.

So we don't need to worry with entering our own then?

You might have to worry. Usually LD has a tool that imports the rosters from the team websites, but this year it isn't working. I had Nole shoot Glen and e-mail about the situation. Even if you have to enter the rosters manually it takes literally 15-20 minutes.

OK, no big deal. I'm off tomorrow if someone would like to give me power to do as many as I can, I don't mind. Let me know though, so I can get it rolling.

If we manually enter our rosters and then BigMike or someone imports them, will that mess the ones up that we manually enter?
I don't mind taking the time to put mine in, but I don't want to do that if they get overwritten when Mike imports them.

I don't need to know if you have put them in or not. If Glenn fixes the problem all you do is go to the roster page, click on your team and then click on update from NCAA roster. Believe me, I'm not going through 120 teams to see who has their rosters updated and who doesn't.

1 Find the roster off the teams website. They usually have it in a pdf file somewhere on there.
2. Select all of it and copy it.
3. Paste it into excel and change the columns around so they are in this order: no,last,first,pos,height,weight,year,mm/dd/yy.
I usually leave off the birthday but its up to you. Make sure the height stays in ft and inches. Mine usually converts it to dates for some reason. Also make sure all the names fit in the boxes. Widen the columns to make sure they fit or when you paste it on league daddy some of the columns will be off.
4. Save the file as a csv (comma separated values).
5. After you've done that go to your league daddy roster page and copy your roster and paste it in the import players box and click save.

As an example, here is what I did with mine in Excel.
I pasted it in and had to do the height manually.
But I did this format and then copied and pasted it into the leaguedaddy section of import players box and it imported just fine.

No prob, you're welcome. And obviously for the record, Penn State's is good. I'm signing off for the night to play my dynasty games and such, still send a PM if you've got questions or need help. I'll be back around tomorrow.
