so im looking in the 24 fynasty league and i goto the "promises" part to check my integrity.

I told every single player last season i wouldnt redshirt them.....AND I didnt....i only redshirted 2 players...both jrs.

now i go and there are 11 "broken" promises for the "no redshirt 1st year on campus"

WTF??

did ea automatically redshirt them because i didnt actually PLAY them?

if so, thatd be nice to know

i do notice the ones that say "kept" (as in promise kept) are guys who did actually get some playing time

I suppose EA thought they would be doing you a favor by giving u an extra season with players you didn't use, but didn't take into account all factors. Bummer deal!

But even with this and other minor flaws, ya gotta love this online dynasty option!!! We'll never get EA to provide it for a league this big, but oh well. And I must admit, Nole's idea of a "24 hour league" (You DO have that patented, right) was a breakthrough! In the past, I would start offline dynasties and never get very far as I had no pressure to play at any pace. It's so much better to have a hard deadline to keep things moving and allow us to get multiple seasons played!!!

yea, i can overlook ea for this trip up as the good from it has far outweighed the bad

well i think thats going to hurt. i made few promises and i am hoping that i kept them...ill look that up moentarily.

BUT, promising a guy no redshirt is basically promising him 1st year playing time.

I mean, if a guy gets no playint time, why wouldn't he redshirt???

just simply turn off cpu assistance for all that crap..that way you control recruiting, visiting, red-shrirting, cutting, etc. Of course that means you've got to be on top of your game. But it avoid that stupid shit that EA does..once time I spent all my time convincing a heisman trophy winner to stay his senior year..then the damn CPU cut him..I learn my lesson then. NO CPU ASSISTANCE!

Regardless of turning off CPU ASSISTANCE, if a player gets NO PLAYING TIME during a season, they are redshirted (if not previously redshirted). So if you promise to NOT REDSHIRT a player, you need to give him some clock during atleast 1 game.
