New York, NY, September 30, 2008 – AC/DC comes exclusively to Rock Band beginning this November for the worldwide release of AC/DC LIVE: Rock Band® Track Pack™ by Harmonix, the leading developer of music-based games, and MTV Games, a part of Viacom’s MTV Networks, (NYSE: VIA, VIA.B). So wait, this is a game? Like the Aerosmith for GH??

Not sure if Im down for paying $40 for 18 songs. Sure AC/DC is ridiculously bad ass, but may just be a rental.

Give us the low down MCX. :D

it is a stand alone game, but it comes with a one time redeem code to d/l all songs for play in any Rock Band game. i am not sure how it would work with your 5 member group..... if you rented and the code has not been "redeemed' maybe you could pull it off. they probably covered that base though....

where did you get it? I'm due to be getting a $25 gift card from Gamestop soon and I would be more than willing to shell out the extra $15 to get this if they have it.

Question on this. What would prevent one from going to WM and buying the game. Take it home, use the download code and then bring the game back "claiming" that is was defected and it didn't work. I would imagine you would not get your money back, but would get a brand new game sealed game. Couldn't you then bring it back to WM again and say it was a gift, but you don't have the receipt but knew it was a Walmart exclusive so it had to be purchased at a WM and give it back for store credit since the game was still sealed.

Am I just a dirtbag for thinking this or am I just behind the times and someone else has already done this, haha.

no, at the returns desk, they break the seal on all games, and if you buy new, they leave the packaging on. I know someone that tried that exact approach, but they kept taking the packaging off the game at each walmart he went to

But I would still get another brand new copy of the game right? If that is the case, then I would get another game with another download code that hadn't been used yet. I wouldn't be able to get store credit, but I would essentially be getting a new game and could put it on ebay I suppose. Sound right?

my wife is the Returns Nazi.. No receipt, no return. With a receipt she issues a store credit. When it comes to software and no receipt you are screwed.. Sometimes they cry for the manager and they say yes only to shut them up and get rid of them, that really annoys her...

I would have the receipt because I would actually buy the game, but just claim it was broken to get another copy after using the download code. When doing that, do they mark up the receipt? Also would it matter that the game is a Walmart exclusive? It had to come from some Walmart.

yes the receipt is marked, not sure you could actually get your money back... and I know my wife would not go for it, but I am a gamer so she knows what to look for........ not that I ever tried anything like that..... ;)
