"I don't believe I've played for a super team. I don't believe in that," James said. "I don't believe we're a super team here (in Cleveland)."

GS is - 200 to win it all next season.
See you in 2019-2020, Billy.

Maybe, no sure thing they are broken up. Guys can love KD or super teams or whatever but the fact is the league is boring at the moment. Basketball is as beautiful to watch as ever but we all knew who was going to win last summer and that it would be easy unless they got hurt.

He just called Cleveland non-super.

we knew the exact same thing last year and they didn't win. so there's that
we knew 5 years ago the Heat were never losing again, now Dion Waiters runs the show, so there's that.

I do not think it was a lock for GS last year, favored but not a lock. Adding KD to that took them to a different level, it was a lock.
I also do not think that anyone thought the Heat were unbeatable. Prior to D Rose falling apart they were not even the clear best team in the East and certainly not the league.
I am not saying the NBA is ruined forever, it is my favorite sport besides golf and guys are just getting more skilled and talented. I am just saying next year will be just as boring as this year and possibly the next 4 years depending on how long GS guys decide to stick together.

It's not like he just came over and played average and won the ring, he was the damn finals MVP, they needed him as much as he needed that squad. Not to mention the Warriors style of play is way more fun then playing with that ball hog Westbrook.
people don't hate KD, they hate...
Amen to that, it is something that the older I have gotten it really bothers me. I guess I am a hater myself as I really hate the haters.

this is revisionist history imo, but i'll take your word for it. last year they were pretty big favorites per vegas, coming off a record breaking season and Cleveland was still full of questions about whether Love was a good fit. obviously adding KD to it makes it a better team but they were incredible last year too.
they were huge favorites. the 3-1 comeback is probably the most remarkable thing i've seen in sports in terms of a series and not a single game event.

Dave mutha effin Roberts.

Maybe we are talking about different timelines. Yes, the Warriors were heavy favorites going in to the playoffs as we had just seen them have a record breaking season. I am talking about before the season started, yes the Warriors were the Vegas favorites but plenty of people thought Cleveland would win and they were not enormous underdogs.
Going in to this season, after seeing a record breaking team adding an all-time talent it was a foregone conclusion who would win and it is next year as well barring major injuries.

This for me, unreal comeback. And I don't like either team

That 3-1 comeback wasn't THAT remarkable considering Draymond got suspended and Steph's ankle was all effed up. Cleveland had a lot of good fortune regarding that series comeback IMO.

Read an interesting article and it makes a lot of sense. Cavs trade Love to Indy for George. Cavs would have to include a pick or an asset but I think both teams say yes. Indy does not lose George for nothing as they certainly will next summer and it gives Cavs a great 2 way player that could balance the scales in the 4th chapter that we all know will happen next year.

Not sure the cavs even have any picks left between now and 2020. Slight exaggeration, but shockingly close

This article quotes some euro stash guy who they took at 31 who apparently has some value in the league and he just had a great year in the Turkish league.
I just think its a great deal for Cavs. Could allow PG to guard the top perimeter players, also force KD and Dray to have to defend Lebron and PG and no longer allowing Dray to play "free safety" that is such a weapon.
