No kidding, I was going to offer up two minor league pitchers that are well rated.Cnasty wrote:Don't talk to me.

All about team needs. I needed a 3B for next season and I have my 1B of the future. And Corey you had nothing I needed, except for Sanchez who you would not budge on. You could have had your ace to take down the Captains.BigRy wrote:No kidding, I was going to offer up two minor league pitchers that are well rated.Cnasty wrote:Don't talk to me.

Maybe I know something, but I think it is pure dumb ass luck. Wayne Washington was added almost as an after thought when i traded for him the first time. Wanted a power hitting 1B, i will say that one was pure dumb ass luck

Re: 2032 Season - The Junior Year (Ready 2/3)
My thought is as a rule of thumb, if you are trading away a stud pitcher need to make sure you get at least one stud/sure thing type pitcher in return.GeorgesGoons wrote:And it looks like Sims is working out for youBigRy wrote:No kidding, I was going to offer up two minor league pitchers that are well rated.Cnasty wrote:Don't talk to me.

As for Sims, yes I love having him and even though I traded away a good chunk of players not missing them right now at least.

Hey, do what you want with your team. I'm the last to question that with the dumb/crazy moves I make.
Just frustrating to see you give away studs for peanuts to a main rival while you are in first place yourself.

Re: 2032 Season - The Junior Year (Ready 2/3)
I agree with your rule of thumb. I had an agenda and I filled my agenda by trading Sims and Wright. I wanted to shore up my hitting for the future, which I am almost positive I did. I had a goal to get some guys that can start next season and some guys that will be ready in 2-3 years. Now as for the pitching, I am hoping I can find some on the FA market, if not then I will trying to score 7 runs a game and hope to God my pen can hold upBigRy wrote:My thought is as a rule of thumb, if you are trading away a stud pitcher need to make sure you get at least one stud/sure thing type pitcher in return.GeorgesGoons wrote:And it looks like Sims is working out for youBigRy wrote:No kidding, I was going to offer up two minor league pitchers that are well rated.Cnasty wrote:Don't talk to me.

I answered your first question with my last post. Edit (Thought u asked what I wanted with my team)Cnasty wrote:Hey, do what you want with your team. I'm the last to question that with the dumb/crazy moves I make.

And trust me, I WILL remain in first place and will most likely remain in first place next season as well.
I gave you first dibs on him with Sanchez straight up. You balked at the move so I traded him to another person who gave my team needs for now and the future. You would have really hated me trading him if me and Dan could have worked out a deal. He was solid on keeping a guy i wanted and we couldnt work past that.

No justification needed as we have done plenty of business in the past.

I am not justifying. Since have had trade history I came to you with my team need, we just couldn't pry him away from Boston. I tried to get him from South Dakota as well, Maybe when he hits the FA market I will grab him up.Cnasty wrote:No justification needed as we have done plenty of business in the past.

Speaking of trades, what is some of your worst trades?
Trading away Kevin Pritchard for SP Todd Williams in 2023
Trading away Carl Hodges away for two MR's (I did win the world series with them though)

Whoa, whoa whoa, shit? Really?
The SP is a back of rotation type guy, he knows that.
But I gave up a great prospect in 1B Bob Kelly, dude is going to crush the ball and I gave up my SS Roberto Rosas who is a very good player and has been playing well for me this season and the past couple.
And we talk back and forth negotiating.
Most of you guys, I offer, you say no, and don't counter.
George and Corey are 2 of my favorite people to deal with.
We negotiate and no one gets butt hurt. It is a negotiation, you have to communicate when trying to do deals.

1) trading away Dan Sims when I was pissed at the game!GeorgesGoons wrote:Speaking of trades, what is some of your worst trades?

2) probably trading to get Sims back and giving up to much but ah well, should be able to find a couple of OF prospects to replace the ones I moved at some point. As for Jimenez, glad to have that cancer gone! but he is performing again for Omaha in the friendly hitting confines.

And I agree with you Ry, that I almost always try to get a good SP back when trading away a good one, but George and I went back and forth and he came up with an offer and I accepted.
