I will say, find a way to watch that fight. you will not be disappointed. if that was not a top 5 fight of all time I don't know what was, and I've watched this sport for over 20 years.
If Romero/Israel fight is even close to those girls fighting then everyone watching tonight was in for a treat.
The girl fight was after an amazing Dariush KO too. Amazing night for fights

I never seen someone get hit square in the forehead like Joanna did and it was crazy she lasted after all that damage

The card was excellent... then there was the main event. Ugh. Put the majority of that blame on Romero. The women's title fight was the best fight I've seen in the last few years.

I can’t get in to this stuff but are you telling me it’s a suspension for smoking weed? That is fucking stupid if that is trueGeorgesGoons wrote: ↑Sun Mar 08, 2020 8:07 amIf his dumb ass can stop smoking weed and getting suspended. The Sugar Show has an unbelievably high ceiling

Tell that to Josh Gordonwdoupis wrote: ↑Sun Mar 08, 2020 12:38 pmI can’t get in to this stuff but are you telling me it’s a suspension for smoking weed? Rules are rules. If you smoked weed and the company you worked for did piss tests every other week why wouldn't it be okay for them to suspend or fire you? And I am for the legalization of weed, but if "you" are only applying to jobs that do not drug test before the hiring process then "you" should really evaluate what is important in life.

Re: MMA / UFC - Official Thread
It’s a sport based on violence and it helps for some people. NBA did away with it, NFL owners proposed it in new CBA and definitely will. Josh Gordon has far more troubles than just weed. UFC could do it in one day and it’s simple. Extremely stupid on their part

Some dude breaks into a house at 4am, unlucky for him it's the home of a UFC dude.
Craziest part of the story is that we live in a world where you can break into someone's home at 4am and only be charged with a misdemeanor.

Right here in town. I didn't see if the guy got royally messed up though. I hope he dropped some serious ground and pound on him when he got him to the ground.shel311 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 09, 2020 2:38 pm https://www.espn.com/mma/story/_/id/290 ... l-trespass

Anyone else see that Uncle Dana is trying to find a private island to hold all these fights. There is talk that there will be weekly fights. I'm disappointed that Tony and Gatchje are going to fight. This is a no win situation for Tony.

That was short lived. UFC 249 paused for now. Was going to be held at an Indian Casino outside of Fresno. Lawmakers in California are fighting this and should win this battle.

Re: MMA / UFC - Official Thread
UFC 249 was canceled Thursday after ESPN and parent company Disney stopped UFC president Dana White’s plan to keep fighting amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Re: MMA / UFC - Official Thread
You don't think this has anything to do with it?
Dianne Feinstein press release:
“I’m concerned by reports that Ultimate Fighting Championship plans to hold a pay-per-view event in California, in defiance of the state’s shelter-in-place order. This event would involve dozens of individuals flying to California and driving to a casino for a purpose no one can honestly claim is essential.
“I understand this event is scheduled to take place on tribal land and therefore is not subject to state law. However, at best this event ties up medical resources and sends a message that shelter-in-place orders can be flouted. At worst, participants and support staff could carry the virus back to their home communities and increase its spread.
“I call on Ultimate Fighting Championship and the Tachi-Yokut Tribe to reconsider this event and delay it until a later date. We have to be responsible and mindful of all local, state and federal public health guidelines. Going ahead with this event is not the right move.”
