Going to be that guy, AKA Nick, here and say almost any NFL superstar caliber receiver can make those kinds of catches with the technology in gloves and the skills of these guys now a days.

He just films all of his

No. Not even close really.

What he did there is actually one of the most impressive catches I've seen. With that said, it looks like he could have cutover and caught that with both hands or at least his left, which is an easier catch. Definitely showing off in practice. :-)

In fairness, he kind of has the market cornered on freak catches in actual NFL games, so I'm not sure that any NFL WR could do it, because he's the one doing it more than others, it seems.

That's kind of my point.

Is it impressive, sure. But give me any big handed NFL wide receiver with these new gloves they wear and they will do the same thing.

And his get exaggerated because it's become his "thing" when there were a ton of fantastic one handed catches last year.

Then why don't they?

Again, not talking about this catch necessarily, i'm talking about some of the catches he's made in games.

They do.

We see one handed catches every single week.

His one handed catch against the cowboys was one of the best ever no doubt but a lot of continuous hype lives from that catch alone.

1. Beckham is #1 on that list.

2. I'm guessing there's a YouTube of Beckham's top 5 or 10 catches that is on par or close to as good as that entire list, which has some great catches on it.

Yes, others make similar catches, but no one seems to do it as consistently as he does.

Is there a valid argument that weighs consistency and necessity?

This is a really not so good argument here. I can GURANTEE you a lot of dudes can't make that catch.

Also, the gloves the NFL players use are the least tackiest gloves on the market, it is more to take away the song of the ball than anything.

Its a crazy good snag. Like someone else said, it would be a bad idea to try and catch the ball like that in a game, however it's a nasty catch, and for all we know he has tried it ten other times and dropped it.

I, like Shel think he has these crazy catches more often that anyone else.......

Absolutely. Prob why you haven't ever seen it done before (myself included, at any level) today in live action?

i'm on team corey here.

he is incredible but he does it to show off cause he has job security and a reputation and a coach that probably doesn't give a fuck or have control over him attempting those catches. very few guys fall into that list where they can even attempt those catches

Some of you guys must have been some pretty unreal athletes yourself or have seen things with your own eyes that I haven't seen done much, because that catch is filthy.

of course its a really cool catch. of course OBJ is a freak. those points i'm not debating

we're debating varying levels of amazingly great catches and difficulty. I think he could make that catch with a throw at that speed 9 out of 10 times. with a defender maybe 4 out of 10 if thrown on the money
