He was an IFA with me. He required and ML deal. He was on the 40 because of it, and after 3 years (options) I had to bring him up. I kept him up all last year for fear of someone grabbing him, but since he still wasn't ready I chanced sending him down this year. Beefy grabbed him (smartly), and I tried to get him back and send him down. No success.

No "f$&@ing" him up, just didn't develop quickly enough and when I was finally forced to bring him up he still wasn't ready and I lost him.

Llike Reign said, why not trade the guy?

He has value even if he's not ML ready now.

5-2 sim for me! I'm 39-50 right now. We may suck but I like where my team is heading. My young guys are showing a lot of promise.

rebuilding is the most rewarding part of the game to me.

never had so much fun than the seasons I was .500 but seeing the improvement.

I don't know much about Gil Russell, but I'm thrilled to get the waiver claim on him. Great timing. I lost Murray last sim, then went to call up Lujan, only to find out that he was down too. I've got enough depth at most positions to cruise through injuries... but definitely didn't have it at C.

Dammit...

nothing spells sim fun more than three season ending injuries to 3/5 of the pitching staff...yay. And two of the guys won't even back til mid season and by then won't be worth two shits.What fun this game is!

That's what I was thinking.

I thought about it, but Russell seems to never really play up to his ratings offensively or defensively. And he would be my 3rd best catcher, so I didn't think it was worth it, despite having a solid rating for a catcher on waivers.
