Down go the Buckeyes! Indiana advances to the final of the Big Televen tournament with a huge 12-3 win over top seeded Ohio State. The Hoosiers are rollin' right now. They await the winner of Minnesota-OSU in the losers bracket.

UConn on ESPNU right now in the semifinals of BET... they are still unbeaten in winners bracket so they need to win 1 of 2 to make BET final.

Florida has bowed out of the SEC losing twice to Arkansas... Very upsetting, but they should still get invited to a region somewhere.

LSU beats UGA 16-0 today, now we play them again tomorrow, winner adavnces to the championship of the SEC Tourney.
A couple more wins and we may have the #1 overall seed, at least top 3 right now, I'd think.

LSU won the 2nd game 3-2 and will play Vandy tomorrow for the SEC Crown. I think they at least locked up a top 4 seed and have a chance at #1 still.

I got your back Nick.
Right now is just the conferece tournies, so nothing different there.
64 teams make the tourney, just like in NCAA.
But you have 16 separate 4 team, double elimination tournies, called regionals.
At that point, every team is seeded 1 through 16 as well. So, the #1 team in the nation, if they win there regional, they play the winner of the #16 team's regional, and so on and so forth.
So, now you have 16 regionals winners, so you have 8 three game series from there, called super regionals.
Obviously, you will have 8 Super Regionals winners, and that makes up the College World Series, a whole new double elimination tourney.

Oh, and 1 more thing just for reference.
It's extremely important for a top team to try and secure a 8th seed or better for regionals, because the Supr regionals 3 game series is played at your home field if so.
So, that is why you'll see a LOT of talk about the top 8 national seeds.

gotta love them starting the first game in that deluge. wild pitches and hit batsmen really start off a game well, then to not complete the inning to have same conditions for both teams for 1 inning. First pitch should have been delayed.
Also, why was the 2nd game only 7 innings? I read even the announcers didnt know what was going on. Negates alot of the winners bracket advantage since lsu had less rest for their bullpen than UGA did.
I am pretty sure UGA is in to regionals still, but hate to see them not make it official(by winning tourney)

ahhh alright. only part i didnt get is the whole after regional.
Q though. lets say in the seeds 1-16, in the #1 seed, the #1 tea overall loses to say the #4 team in that seeding (which im gonna pressume is the 64th team overall)... are they now the #1 seed in super regionals?
or do they take all the remaining teams and base them 1-16 and then make the groups?

No, they don't reseed after regionals.
Think of each 4 team regional as 1 "team" so to speak in a 16 team regional.
There spot on the bracket wont change, whoever wins the #1 team's regional is playing the winner of the #16 teams' regional.
Furthermore, if the #64 team wins, they don't become the #1 team, per se. For example, if the #16 team wins there regional, the #16 team will host the Super regional.
I hope this makes sense. It's really not hard to understand, but hard to explain. It'd be a lot easier if you could see the brackets online.

I think the SEC officials decided to make the 2nd game only 7 innings because the teams had already played a game that day and were on inning #14.
