Get ready for some potentially bad numbers this week.
U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Jerome Adams warned Monday that the coronavirus outbreak will worsen this week and said that people across the country are not taking the threat seriously enough.
“I want America to understand this week, it's going to get bad,” Adams said in an interview on the “TODAY” show.

What’s scary about this to me is how you can be contagious and not have symptoms for up to 2 weeks. I’m not concerned about me getting sick, i’m in the lowest category for something fatal to happen, i’m way more concerned i’m going to spread it. Quit going to the gym and been taking precautions about 2 weeks ago to limit my risk. Still frustrating to see my insta filled with broads that just got back from their cruises knowing they most likely came into contact with someone who is carrying it

FYI, you gotta move the decimal over to make it a %. Based on those 2 numbers, the mortality rate is 0.7%.

Also gotta remember this virus usually takes usually 1-2 weeks from symptom onset till death for the most serious cases. It's not a quick death that's why everyone is saysing these next two weeks it's gonna be really bad.

Michigan just issued a stay in place, my practice will be shutting down at the end of the day today.
My initial justification to remain open to this point has been to prevent ER visits (I do interventional chronic pain management) and the burden to the hospitals. Now it states cant continue if not critical to sustaining life.

Sorry to hear man and actually a great justification.
Cancer doesnt stop, heart attacks dont stop, all those other millions of ED visits just dont stop while this is going on. It just jumps on top of all the virus people.
These providers seriously need some kind of federal bonus or recognition after this is all over.

My mom got H1N1 last yr and was hospitalized.

i had the same energy as now last year when she developed delirium. Also in 2009 I was probably... 22? Around the age of not actually giving a shit about any of this.. Which would explain my personal energy.

You like throwing out worst case scenarios so I like to offset the doom and gloom. We aren't at 4% or whatever you said it was.

at no point did I say the USA was at 4%. I dont understand why you think as a Canadian, at the core I give a fuck abotu America other to inform you people about being more prepared.
4% is in the world.. And that means if everyone recovered now (which wont happen). I dont get why you cant fathom basic math
