Corey, as far as no one cares about my other leagues, that is fine. I was simply offering suggestions and why they may work.
I never said OOTP was not the best league, give me a break on the whole, how good we have it here thing.

All I was simply saying is that as a former commish, I understand that there should have been a simple poll that says, Do you want realignment, yes or no.

Vote and then if it is a yes, we will then have another poll/discussion with options of the structure.
Then in that poll he could offer his 2 suggestions and then put a 3rd option of give me your feedback and we can discuss other options outside of the 2 I have layed out.

That is how it should have went, but what do I know.
Apparently my head is so far out of NDL OOTP and up my other league's asses, I have no clue how to run things anymore.

The issue is, we are in a hurry, so we HAVE to get it done so rollover can be done by Saturday.
Why? If it needs 2 days to discuss to get it right and what the majority want, then take the 2 days. Guys will live, I promise.

I completely disagree as to how you think it should have went because I have stated many times we don’t want major changes.

This way if you vote yes you know exactly what yes could mean and there is no mystery.

But my point is that some people may want a realignment, but they may want 1 division per league.
So if that is what the majority wants, why not do it?
But you will never know the way this poll is.

He isn't. He is saying that if you vote for realignment, it is going to be either option 1 or option 2 below. So if you don't like those, vote no.
Ok, so I voted no.
But if you would give the option for a 3rd option and see what the majority wants, maybe more people would vote for a realignment.

That is my entire point in all of this.

How is it the dumbest? That is essentially what you guys want when it comes to playoffs.

You want the top teams to make it in so we don't have a 79 win team make it in over an 89 win team because the 79 win team won their shitty division.

So if you are going NBA style with the playoff seedings, meaning the top 6 make it in, no matter what, then what is the point of having 2 or 3 divisions in each league?
Nothing.
If you are keeping the division winners in the playoffs, then why not keep it as it is today?
You will still run into that issue with 2 divisions per league.

This fixes teams with 110 wins and second best record having to play in the wildcard round. As well as having a true round robin for schedules so one division isn't playing 17 against the two best teams in a league and the other guys in the other division only play them 9 times.

I'll change my vote to a yes if we get to vote on having 1 division per league. And then let it be up to the NDL OOTP gods on what we get when we actually get to vote it

The one that has the most votes, which is the definition of majority or we doing the 2/3rds vote?
Just curious as I know there has been some confusion around that before.

Most votes. I specified it in OP so it would be clear since I know it has not always been a known thing

I believe it was put out if it was something major (corey draft) it would take 2/3 vote. Something like realignment wouldn't fall into that category so 50.1% suffices
