NL Outstanding Skipper Award Given to Latsko
Saturday, November 21st, 2026
An outstanding season by the Titans garnered their manager Michael Latsko the National League Manager of the Year award for 2026. He led Cincinnati to a 109-53 record this year and a first place finish in the National League Central.

Even so, Latsko seemed less than thrilled. "I don't give a damn about the award," he growled to reporters, "I just want this team to win championships!"

Not GM Allemand, we're gonna tell everyone about our award!!! Though we kept it humble in our press conference, too much coach speak. We'll have to work on that.
Sheltown Pilot Allemand Acclaimed AL Best
Saturday, November 21st, 2026
The Sheltown Shockers called a press conference to announce that field manager Shelton Allemand had been named American League Manager of the Year earlier in the day. Staffers congratulated the 46-year-old baseball guru as he approached the podium.

"This city has allowed me to craft a winning ball club," said Allemand. "When you take on a new job, there's always some adjustment period, but everyone here has been cooperative. From the bat boys on up. Here's to many more successful seasons for the Sheltown Shockers!"

Allemand led Sheltown to a 104-58 record this year and a first place finish in the American League Central.
GM Allemand will never thank or give credit to another bat boy, that's for certain!!!

Can someone go into more detail on how to expand seating in a stadium? In Vancouver, the fan interest is still at 100. Loyalty is at "Poor", but it jumped up to that this past season, so I know as soon as we start losing they will be gone. Past two seasons in Vancouver the stadium has been at capacity.

I don't know if the club can afford it, where the money comes from and how the payment is made. Thank you in advance.

I would like to expand to around 38,000 from 35500. So add 2500 seats.

What part of the budget does that come from? Cash? Is it taken up front? Does it get paid for over time?

Did you read the rules?

It comes from cash. Stadium stuff is done during preseason/spring training. Modifications are applied just before Opening Day. You also pay annual maintenance based on the number of seats.

It comes from cash. Stadium stuff is done during preseason/spring training. Modifications are applied just before Opening Day. You also pay annual maintenance based on the number of seats.
Stadiums:
- Max stadium size is 65,000.
- All seats are considered for the annual stadium maintenance fee of $500,000 per 10,000 seats, applied at the end of the season.
- All domes and retractable roofs carry an annual stadium maintenance fee of $2m.
- Stadium modifications can be made from the beginning of the new offseason until arbitration.

Stadium Seating Expansion:
$4.2m per 1,000 additional seats.
- Max stadium capacity is capped at 65,000.
- All seats are subject to the annual maintenance fee of $500,000 per 10,000, applied at the end of the season

Stadium Architecture - Dome:
$60m - Must be repaid within 3yrs, with at least 1/3 of the cost paid in the 1st year.
- Subject to annual maintenance fee of $2m.

Stadium Architecture - Retractable Roof:
$80m - Must be repaid within 4yrs, with at least 1/4 of the cost paid in the 1st year.
- Subject to annual maintenance fee of $2m.

Field Type (Grass / Astroturf / Field Turf):
$5m - Flat Fee
- All initial fields are set to grass. Going forward, you may change your type during the offseason.
- Impacts ballpark factors.
Grass (Base) = .990 Batting Avg (R/L); .990 Triples
Field Turf = 1.010 Batting Avg (R/L); 1.010 Triples
Astroturf = 1.040 Batting Avg (R/L); 1.040 Triples

Stadium Wall Adjustments:
$5m - Flat Fee
- Includes both distances and heights
- Keep them with in reason, subject to my approval.

Stadium Name Change:
$5m - Flat Fee
Please highlight for me where it tells me where the money comes from in the budget?

At any rate, the Polar Bears would like to add 2500 seats.

Some interesting tidbits on this year's Seaver Award and the award in general

1. Closest vote ever: 64 to 62 for Washington.
2. However, Pachecho got 10 first-place votes to Washington's five which means a bunch of people simply left Pachecho off the ballot or voted him low.
3. I voted him third behind Washington and O'Quinn. I voted Washington-O'Quinn-Pachecho-Ayala-Peters.
4. This is the fourth time Pachecho has finished second in the voting and second time finishing behind Washington.
5. Had Pachecho won, his 14 wins would have been the lowest for a SP winner ever but his 2.16 ERA would have been the lowest, too.
6. Julio Ayala, who had a 2.11 ERA to lead the AL and had near identical numbers to Pachecho (including fourteen wins), finished a distant fourth.

A. There have been 17 Tom Seaver Awards handed out in the Atlantic/American league to eleven pitchers but only seven teams.
B. New England, Sheltown, and Port Orange have been awarded it three times ... with three different players.
C. Carolina (Foster in 2012) and Washington (Rivera in 2022) are the only teams to have won only one AL Seaver Award. The other 15 have been won by New York, Sheltown, Port Orange, New England, and Toronto/Miami.
D. Pablo Garcia is the only player to win a Seaver Award in both leagues.
