Exactly.

Yea, bought NCAA 12. Played scrims, worked fine. Season 1 of NCAA 12 started, played 6 games(technically 5 as I remember clearly the issue started in a game against Bigred where we had to replay it about 5 times and piece it together lol), no problem. All of a sudden, couldn't finish a game for nothing. Quit midseason after those 6 games. Didn't bother in season 2.

Before season 3, played a few scrims, no DCs. Signed up, played about 9 or 10 season 3 games(couple sims), maybe 1 DC.

Season ends, bought NBA2K, no issues for 1 month, then the DCs started like I mentioned in my previous post.

There is definitely no chance someone in your neighborhood is tapping into your wireless and using your internet without you knowing, right?

I have a crazy password that someone couldn't randomly figure out. No neighbor has ever come into my house.

It's only possible if they can bypass all of that with some hacker type skills I guess.

Not sure what you mean by this. Don't know that in a sarcastic way, just really not sure lol.
I mean, like, when you say "the phone always rings whenever I sit down!" Meanwhile, it might not happen but once every ten times or something like that. Everyone does it. And considering the frustration of a disconnect combined with all of these variables (when did I have FIFA, when did I get a new modem, when did I upgrade, etc), it can get confusing.

Rare is the day when one game/program works when none others did.

That would result in lag, at worst.

When I say I DC every time in 2k and also on NCAA, it's literally every time I

I've played more actual games online of fifa than all 3 other games combined, and don't ever remember disconnecting, so it couldn't have been more than 1 or 2 possible DCs at the most.

Shell if you have the Ubee modem lots of people are having issues with it. You may want to borrow another router to test this out before you go and buy a separate router. Bridge the Ubee modem/router so that it acts only as a modem, connect the router and start from there.

Also do you have your streaming media server on your PS3 disabled?

Thanks Shift.

Nolie tipped me off on the streaming thing a while back, so I know that is turned off.

If Niddler's quick tips don't work and hopefully he'll help me out tomorrow night if we have time, I'll definitely look into this route with getting a router and following those steps.

Thanks man, this has all been really helpful if for nothing more than giving me options when I thought I had no more lol.

I see it says 0 packets lost or whatever, I'll try a few more times and random times, see if it changes, I guess.

Hey shift, you have any help for bridging a 2wire 3800HGV-B?

Found this on a forum for someone trying it with a Linksys router:

You can use your Linksys to do wireless and firewall, and disable the wireless on the 2wire gateway. First, plug your Linksys into an available LAN port on the 2wire so it will assign it a private IP address. Log into your Linksys to see what it's IP is... should be using a 192.168.1.XXX subnet. Now log into the 2wire and find the firewall option to enable DMZ+ mode. Enable DMZ+ and tell the 2wire the zone should be the private IP address of your Linksys that it assigned. Once you do this, the 2wire will pass the public IP address that AT&T assigned it through to your Linksys. Now you can disable the wireless functionality of the 2wire by logging into it, Clicking on the 'Home Network' icon at the top, and then click on the Disable button next to 'Wireless' under the 'Status at a Glance' section.

Agree, that is really weird. I didn't know that. I thought NCAA and Tiger and NBA always had the issue.
hmmm....

Still reset everything and let's start there.

Shel, this is the kind of information I was going to post when I asked you for the make and model of the modem.
I did see you post it, but I have been busy till now.

If you google something like, Ubee modem and ps3, you will find other people having issues and what they did to fix it.
It may come down to you asking Time Warner for a regular modem and then use your own router.

But try what Shift sent you after resetting everything back and see what happens.

Last year I wasn't able to stay connected until they released the last patch, just in time for the third season. I had no problems with any other games though, just NCAA.

I'm not having any problems on any other game, MLB 12 The Show works just fine. I played WastedMemory in a scrimmage and it DC'ed twice. Played two ranked games and one DC'ed right after halftime and the other at the start of the 4th.

Shel,

This may sound dumb and I know that you said you had the issue over wireless as well, but when hard wired, have you tried a different port on the back of the router and a different ethernet cable?
Just starting with the basics here. :D
