Statistical oddity that I cannot wrap my head around...anyone have thoughts to help shed light?

Colorado
Runs scored 355
Runs against 346
and the Rams are 10 games under .500

Omaha
Runs scored 353
Runs agains 361
and the Beef are 3 games over .500

confused....what is going on here?

It's because when we lose we lose big. But when we win the other team is always in the game.

I cannot believe Diego Morales didn't get hitter of the month for the AL in June.
He hit .432/.485/.614/ 1.098 6 doubles, 2 triples, 2 HR's, 15 RBI's, 20 runs scored, 10 walks and only 1 K for the whole month.

Have had some big injuries the last two sims. J. Cole is out for another 2 weeks, Morales out for 5 weeks, Sean Clark out for the season. Brought up Otto Morris to take his place, hopefully he can play as well as he did last year.

BTW, Wayne Washington and Eric Collins still on the trade block.

Newly acquired do everything Eric Rhodes from Washington will now be the starting 2B now that Morales is out. Not sure if he is ready but he's getting thrown in there anyways.

I wouldn't know the first way to fix randomly not getting emails or randomly not having exports work, so in an effort to be efficient with my time, I'm not going to waste time trying to fix something I know I can't fix.

Efficiency!!!

Pythag!!!

2 seasons ago ( went 72-90, and I think I outscored my opponents. If not, they outscored me but it was something like single digits, somewhere basically even, but 18 games under .500.

You got me. I also intentionally injured my C and 1B, so that my league leading offense could be reined in... it worked perfectly, I think we averaged about 1.7 R/G last sim.

Thursday, June 27th, 2024
In a brilliant performance at Dean Martin Park (Dil), Dillonvale pitcher Marvin Jones entered an elite group today by tossing a no-hitter against the Detroit Stars. Hurling a complete game he fanned 8 and walked 2 in the 5-0 victory.

In the clubhouse, Jones said, "I was getting my off-speed stuff over so they couldn't sit on the fastball. My guys made some nice plays behind me, too, and cut off several hits."

Over the season Jones has thrown 104 innings and dished out 90 strikeouts with a 7-4 mark and a 2.51 ERA.

Dillonvale goes 3-3 this sim.
We sweep the Detroit Stars in our 3 game series and then get swept by the Seattle Cougars for 3.

Reign already told you about the Marvin Jones story above.
In other news, RF Eric Miller gets suspended for 10 games. Apparently he and Detroit's Bob Baker got into a scuffle.
No details were released, just that there was a brawl and both players have been suspended.

In the next sim, we have 3 game series @ Pittsburgh Falcons and then a 4 game series at home against the South Park Cows and then it will be the all star break for 3 days.
