They don’t have one. Was looking at their resume as well. 0 marquee wins imo.

They honestly should be pretty much eliminated imo. But ya know..
Bama needs a SC win tonight and a close Clemson win next week, TCU to win and OSU to win to have a shot

If Miami beats Clemson, in theory, Bama has no real argument over Miami.

But I certainly wouldn't bet on Bama being left out.

Everything about that game was pretty epic, but nothing topped this.

Zero argument for Bama I think in that scenario imo.

Miami would have:
Better wins
Conference champions
Better SOS

But BIG if for Miami even hanging with Clemson after their showing against Pitt.

This committee in their guidelines have “championships won and SOS” as their top 2 criteria.

Head to head and common opponents are the other 2.

Clemson/Miami winner
UGA/Clemson winner
Oklahoma if they win
Wisky if they win

There is your 4.

If TCU wins and Ohio State wins, good lord this will be fun to sort out but then Ohio State would get in and possibly Bama gets in that way.

I would love for Alabama to not get in, and if you look at their schedule, they don't deserve it.

SEC only plays 8 conference games so they get an extra cupcake in it; and they avoided the best two teams in the East. Their best wins are LSU and Texas A&M? That doesn't deserve it.

If SOS and Conference champ are it, Alabama shouldn't have any shot.

I agree with your overall post but in fairness to Bama, they didn't intend to have 1 extra cupcake as they played #3 FSU in the 1st game of the season.

Then Francois got hurt and FSU crumbled, but at that point with Francois healthy, FSU was no cupcake.

I agree to an extent, but they brought it on themselves by scheduling 3 cupcakes and only 1 Power 5 team. Teams who pull that shit should be punished and the playoff committee should make Bama pay for it.

If the committee steps up now and drops Alabama, teams will think twice about the cupcake schedule bullshit.

We as fans would win, more good matchups. Instead of something like Alabama vs Mercer, we could have had an Alabama vs Washington State or something.

Most teams do it that way, you have to fill out a schedule. The way you want it to be done is virtually impossible for every team to do.

no, it is not. 9 game conference schedule, 1 power 5, 2 cupcakes. Problem solved.

Bama should not have a shot at getting in. But they are Alabama and will have an opportunity to get in. If a team doesn't win their division should have zero shot at making the playoffs.

I was a bit shocked to see how weak Alabama's schedule is.
