If so, then I truly am lost on politics and shouldn't vote
you miss my point on 'bernie'
its not about the candidate. its about what he does to the system and the future potential harm that can happen with an even bigger/powerful gov't with more control.
think of it like this. its like having a large t shirt that is sorta stretched out already. then you have to lend it to someone, you can lend it to shel which might get a few stains on it or you can lend it to terpsfan who is going to stretch it out and puke all over it and it'll never be the same once he returns it.

Congressmen and Senators would have term limits by amending the constitution. I think this is the first step in getting rid of corrupt politicians that do it for the money. I think they said there were 168 millionaires in Congress and Senate, wonder how many were before being elected

I wasn't referring to your current Bernie reference.
Was simply asking the NDL masses that don't like him but seem ok with Clinton or trump over him.

I can not stand Clinton, but I think I'd take her over Bernie and his larger government than what Clinton would bring in. And I'd definitely take any Republican over those two, even if it is Trump.

actually it is 268
Most of them were millionaires before they ran for office. You can't run a congressional campaign on a teacher's salary. In fact, the salary for a congressman on it's own (174,000 a year) would require at least four terms for a representative and two terms for a senator for them to be called a millionaire. I'd venture that much of their income while in office is from speaking engagements, business ventures, and "other business opportunities."

There has to be some college kid out there that are smart enough and charismatic enough to see the game Obama played to be a popular guy, speak fantastically and connect with a younger voting pool and not alienate oldies as well.
political figures are 'groomed' by the machine.
so there will be some well spoken good looking minority that they decide is best for checking boxes.
in terms of getting actual ground roots 'improvement' you need a bernie like revolt with a message that promotes smaller gov't/growth.
those types of guys are few and far between. you almost need a guy who doesn't need the money like Trump but then also is balanced and not a power hungry ego maniac who actually wants whats best for others. those people are out there but they are unicorns and typically don't want to get into political service as they can make bigger impacts in private sector. ie Elon types with speaking skills and better personalities
I have said for a few years Mark Cuban would be an excellent candidate. More money than Trump, a much better person, and certainly not afraid to buck the system

why would someone like Cuban wanna be prez? If youre as rich as them, the system isn't a big deal to you. You're financially above it. The system sucks to the people making normal wages, not billionaires.
