Future tankers... the next GOAT hitter is 16 right now. Tyrone Hawks. In high school, averages .382/.475/.889. HR every 2 games his first 2 years but has 14 HRs in just 17 games this year.

I'm on it!
I think George Hughes, catcher out of Colorado, is going to be huge. He hit .372 and .464 is first two years in college and throws out 40% of runners so far this year.

Our league used to be so thin at catcher. Now we have about 7-10 absolute stud catchers and young guys that will be studs.

It seems that stud catchers rarely reach their full offensive potential.

true, they also seem to take the longest to get there and have the shortest shelf life. I was 1 season away from giving up on Warren at one point.

I thought my team was way better than last year's team. Not saying they were a playoff team but much closer to a .500 team. Looks like I may still get the #1 pick even after adding over 20WAR to the team in the off season.

We're both sitting at - 3 Pythag if that's any consolation

How are we doing the draft? Making in game lists and just going with it?

Loaded.
All by OSA
7 catchers with 70+ pot
18 batters with 60+ pot
17 pitchers (12 starters)
My scout is a little tougher than OSA, but still tends to agree on batters mostly.
Haven't looked into anything farther than just pot ratings though

Yes.
After the last couple of seasons have been so nice and fast on the boards that we got through 2 rounds, maybe?
We will be making in game lists and going with it.
Let's try it and see how it goes.
Unless there is some huge issue with comp picks.
Also, I heard that OOTP16 handles comp picks appropriately.
Does anyone here have it and can confirm?
If so, I will push for us to go to OOTP17 when it comes out.

theres no way for us to deal with comp pick appropriately without a live draft. so we should either just accept the fuck-ton of comp picks or just auto sign until we move to 17.

I wasted money on 16 a while back and never used it lol. I wouldn't even know how to test it but I should be able to hopefully find my license key, and I'll give you the extra copy free if you want to try it out. Just let me know.

With the influx of new owners and an actual talented pool this season, I say we go boards again. Reach out to the usual suspects and let them know it's going on. And hopefully have a moderator(s) around to keep things going. I am around weekends to keep things moving if you need be.
