Sad story.
Apparently road rage, with the shooter being a dude who owned some sort of business. And the shooting was in a wealthy district from what I gather.
Didn't fit the mold of the typical New Orleans shooting, if you will.

100% agree. I rarely speed, unless on the highway and never more than 5-7 over, and always try to let people merge or turn before I do. My wife on the other hand she is constantly talking out loud to other cars, my son told her a couple of years back...."Mom, you know they can't hear you." funny shit when he said it

it is a decent area but it is also right on the fringe of the projects.
Hell pepper spray may have worked as well, but you do need to get close enough to use it and that can put you in lethal range of someone with a knife.

Should be interesting to see how it shakes out. The lawyer for the shooter says the fact that the guy with Smith from my previous link was just a total coincidence.
the fact he stayed on premises has to play well for a self defense claim unless there are witnesses saying otherwise.
that lawyer seems awesome too.

Yep. He avoided a few things, but this early in the game, he obviously either has to or actually doesn't know. But he sounded on point, but he also said he won't be the shooter's lawyer going forward.
