I expect some very slight changes and design updates.
Especially interior of course.
The X went through multiple changes before production this far out so I would expect some updates. Nothing major though where it isn’t as polarizing.

Yeah that truck isn't even legal as is (headlight, no side mirrors)

There are headlights.
Most states you have to have 2 of the 3 mirrors functional.
So if your mirror inside the car is functional, you only have to have 1 outside that is working.

And I definitely like the trucks in Webby's post way more than the actual truck they came out with.

I talked to about 15 friends, neighbors and relatives yesterday that know I’m a huge Tesla fan boy and wanted my thoughts and about 12 of them loved it.
Odd for sure

I mean I am as little of a car guy as anyone so my opinion is not that valuable but I just can't see over 5% of the population thinking that looks good. I am sure the functionality of it will be awesome and it will be super cool to drive but the looks would just be too much for me.

That's a HUGE number. More like .5%

I don't know. To get the specs (HP, payload, towing capacity, crew cab, 6.t ft bed) from a Ford youd be paying what, $50-60k?

i think it looks good and i'd be willing to bet large amounts of money they are all over major cities the first year they are released.
middle country america it will take longer to adapt like it does most 'new' stuff

Like I said, I'm a poser and don't really have any great use for a pickup, but I'd buy it

I can see it being one of those trend setter vehicles like the Hummer was when it first came out.
I am very skeptical of the $39k price as the $35k Model 3 was a mirage for the most part.
Either way the specs are insanely good for value and it comes with Tesla unmatched charging network and battery efficiencies.
Just looks wise they went for shock and awe vs the mass market. Pros and cons to that of course.

That 2nd fan art would have sufficed for something different and isn't too far off the actual model, just has more edges and contours it feels

146k pre orders already.
Yes it’s only $100 deposit but impressive in 2 days.

They will always have the diehards who no matter what day it’s awesome. It’s like the Kanye fans who say his last two albums were awesome

Pretty funny story...
So Ford is claiming that the F150 that the CyberTruck easily beat in the tug of war video wasn't a fair comparison, I guess they're stating it was a more standard base model F150 or something.
So some Exec/VP of Ford tweeted at Elon asking him to send over a CyberTruck so Ford could conduct their own apples to apples comparison. Elon replied, "Bring it on."
Best part, shortly after, Ford had to issue their own statement, essentially a retraction stating the VP was just joking and it was meant to be "tongue in cheek"
