Couldn't tell if Dave was being sarcastic as I said it was an illegal hit way back in the thread due to the crown of the helmet thing.

i honestly don't know the rule.

everywhere i read last night said it was a legal hit and explained it the way that Carey did on TV. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-foo ... io-bernard

that is how i had always thought the rule was enforced. if he's a runner, he becomes fair game to a helmet to helmet hit. but i'm not an expert on football, so i certainly don't think my opinion matters

then this morning ESPN tried to explain the crown of the helmet rule which made me believe i was wrong.

i'm not sure there is a clear cut answer, seems to be a matter of interpretation

Either way hell of a way to come back by Ben and bone headed penalties by the bengals for 30 yards sure helped.

Take it easy on the Broncos next week

I don't like the fact that none of the home teams haven't won yet.
I don't like the fact that packers are way better than the skins.
I don't like the fact they they have Aaron Rodgers.
I don't like that they're kind of an underdog.

I don't like a lot of this. But we're in the playoffs, so it's better than nothing I guess.

Go Skins!

You should also not like the fact that Washington has played 3 teams with a winning record this season and been outscored 105-46.

Yikes.

Finkle was the kicker.

Locke is Dan. Dan is Locke.

During the early game they showed a pic of when he was with the Vikings in the 80s... He was old then

NFL needs to again reexamine helmet to helmet / personal foul type hits and then what constitutes a catch in the offseason... Too much grey area

Would have loved to see Washington get destroyed but they're having a surprising start

I am in Vegas and had $550 on the Seahawks Moneyline. I won't complain about a bad beat in sports for at least a month. Lol

Because he doesn't act or coach like an old guy.

I penciled in a loss today. It was set up for a let down and a loss for my Hawks. Gravy the rest of the way. It will be tough to win in Carolina and Green Bay to get back to the Super Bowl, but we'll see what happens.

If they do it, then they would have to beat two teams that beat them in the regular season.
