Re: NFL Thread
first of all the hit was clean and he was celebrating when they announced it was fumble
speaking of that play, it easily could have been returned for a TD, that was a huge play that didn't really get talked about
after that, holy shit, what a fiasco. That's why you don't have guys like Burfict and Pacman

Re: NFL Thread
Lead with the crown right up under the chin. Should have been a penalty easily if they were going to call those others ones on the hits on Bryant and then brown

Re: NFL Thread
It actually was. They don't get call helmet to helmet on runners, only defensive players.DRWebs wrote:Spoken like a true Steelers fanDRiccio21 wrote:first of all the hit was clean and he was celebrating when they announced it was fumble
They talked about it after it happened.
Re: NFL Thread
I still didn't see exactly what happened there. It didn't even look like Jones made contact himself, but utter stupidity to put himself near that situation.shel311 wrote:Definitely not gonna knight for Pacman here...but I don't think that deserved a 15 yard penalty, especially since it was with a coach of another team who was pretty clearly instigating.

I'd disagree with their assessment. He was a receiver and made 2-3 steps and then was targetedshel311 wrote:It actually was. If you take 2-3 steps, you are longer a receiver, you are a runner, I think that's almost exactly how the rule is worded.DRWebs wrote:I'd disagree with their assessment. i'm not sure you understand the rule then.DRWebs wrote: I'd disagree with their assessment. He was a receiver and made 2-3 steps and then was targeted
the former head of officials explained the whole thing as it was happening. once he turned he doesn't get that protection and its legal. its brutal and vicious, but it's fair game. and my only point was that the play resulted in a fumble and he had tons of space ahead to return it. that was a huge swing

Not sure if this link will work, but I'm with you Pacman, but you still had one of the biggest melts I've seen.

CHEATERS!!!"Either or both team attendants and their helpers may enter the field to attend their team during a team timeout by either team. No other non-player may come on the field without the Referee’s permission, unless he is an incoming substitute (5-2-2).
PROTEST!!!

Can we all agree that listening to Mike Carey is painful? Guy is terrible and offers the same amount of insight that any dude sitting in the stands could

So bad.
Pick any other random official and pay them instead. He's so bad. And he's actually wrong a lot too

Defenseless or not. Runner or not. Can't lead with crown of the helmet. No?
