Now if they could just figure out a way to help blind people see again.
they kinda can. My dad is blind in his right eye and he had a surgery recently (cornea transplant) and hes getting some vision back. WOnt be 100% but better than a haze
We can't be too far away from some kind of implant/camera combo.

From 7th-9th grade we had to run a mile every week to 2 weeks in PE and at least 1 lap every school day. You can't tell me that you never ran miles in PE?

well define run. I never had to do anything crazy like that, the most we ever did was like .. 4 laps around a track but i would half ass jog walk most of the time. Gym was about playing games fuck the running before

Ha ha, we had timed runs for grades. 7th grade was when I went from wearing husky size pants to a slim kid. I'm back to the husky pants though, alot of good it did...

I may never admit this anywhere, ever again... my wife and I ran a 5k over the summer and she beat me. My back knotted up about a 1.5k in (stupid me, not doing any exercise for the 2-3 weeks prior). At that point, I had about a 300-400m lead on her. She passed me by the 3k mark and blew me away. She's been giving me shit all winter about it. :-)

On a positive note, I felt better the next day and she was sore all week. She absolutely killed herself trying to beat me. She didn't even finish in the top 5 females though. Runners are dedicated. Screw that.

By the way, the AFP reports that a Toyota Prius was also banged up in the ordeal.

March was the first month in 11 years in which no American soldier was killed in either Iraq or Afghanistan.

D. Chasing a hot chick?

Othewise, inexcusable.

None of the above. I'm running the Indy mini-marathon on May 3rd. My goal is to finish it without walking which I'm pretty sure I'll do. I also want to spare myself the embarrassment of being picked up by the straggler bus. It's a considerably flatter course than the roads I'm running on so I think I'll do fine. Honestly, my biggest fear is not cramping up and causing a 12 car pile-up on the drive home afterwards. Next week I'll do 11 miles.

Yes. That Mazda's driver having to call their insurance and telling them they caused an accident that wrecked a Lambo and a BMW.

Currently working on my coolest call ever for my job: I'm provisioning and configuring the internet connections for ESPN's College Gameday/Final Four coverage in Sundance Square in Ft Worth.

Worked on the Tournament of Roses Parade network in December, and now this. Much more fun than 99.999% of the interactions I usually have

Good onya! Mini-marathon = half? aka 13.1? I did that in San Fran during college (fucking girlfriend at the time) and I hated every minute of the training (only had 3 weeks to do it). I'm just not a runner by any means. That will be really cool for you though. Also impressive for someone your height since that can't be good for the knees and such. Hope it goes well for ya

Actually what ends up being the most sore for me after a long run are my hamstrings, hip flexors, and lower abs. Oh, and any blisters I end up with.
