I hate the whole, "you shouldn't lose your starting job due to an injury" mindset. Peyton needs to take a step back and enjoy this ride as a backup. This might be his last chance for another ring

I.e. Tom Brady/ Drew Bledsoe

I was thinking that exactly when I was typing that.

If Peyton was smart he'd be a great backup

comparing apples to oranges.

Peyton is a top 5 QB ever. Bledsoe isn't even a top 50

Plus Brock is having, what, 1 good game? His numbers are not even that great (3-2, 5TD-3INT, 6.7 YPA, 63.5% completion rate). Helps when you have the Broncos around you.

Osweiler is playing better than Peyton at this point in his career and it's not this one game sampling size.

If you think Peyton should still start when he gets back you are just arguing to argue at this point.

while I do like me a good argument, I'll withdraw my opinion. I just think its not comparable circumstances. Peyton was probably playing like shit cause his foots been broken for months. I think even at this point a healthy Peytons better than Brock.

I think a lot has to do with. Ot being able to feel his fingertips as well. At this point 8n his career he is becoming more and more like Favre, minus the dick pics, by staying well past what he should. He has looked like an average QB this season and I would hate for his legacy to be tarnished because he stayed too long. And I have never been a fan of him but it is always nice to see an all time great play

Amazing play on a return in the Denver game.

Ruined by guys running on the field To start the drive and thought the ball was downed.

this is the best Steelers offense since i've been alive and its not remotely close. PFF has Ben as the #1 rated QB and Brown as the #1 rated WR. They fit each others play so well, in reality Ben makes everyone better but Antonio is the best he's had to work with and its beautiful to watch.

if they don't make the playoffs i'll always wonder 'what if' about this year with the Ben injuries and Bell injury.

My statement still holds true!

Losing to such a terrible defensive team hurts for Os.

Pittsburgh offense is terrifying with an average running game. Wheaton, Brown and Bryant are so good. Big Ben probably most underrated QB ever

I feel the Steelers offense, when I was a little kid was better. Bradshaw, Bleier, Harris, Swann and Stallworth.
Their D was pretty stacked at that time too.

based on what? that offense wasn't remotely close and that's with me taking into account the differences in era's. Terry Bradshaw was a wildly overrated QB. he had 212 TD's and 210 Int's for his career

Brown is incredible, but Ben makes all these guys studs.

he's done it his whole career. guys like Hines (my favorite ever), Plaxico, Santonio, Mike Wallace, etc all owe Ben a big chunk of their earnings.

Ben owes the lawyer that kept him out of jail a big chunk as well but I am assuming he already paid that chunk handsomely.
