Eli matches Brees, 6 TD passes of his own.

I had a double take when looking at the Brees stat line

the Steelers kick to win it got me thinking, why don't teams snap the ball diagonally and adjust the line when there is an awkward angled kick like that?

No rule against it. You're talking like having an unbalanced line and the tackle snapping or something along those lines?

No but generally when you are on the hash marks you unbalance your line so you don't have to directionally snap it straight back.

There def is no rule to which way you can snap the ball.

Your linemen have to line up on the line of scrimmage. They cannot be on a weird angle.
