Do you think the Giants had real interest or just driving the price up as a rival?

3min 20sec to walk from my office, use the bathroom, wash hands and get back? Seems like good time to me.

You must love your job.....I had a job I hated in college, ten minutes to do the same activity stated above.

Bonds is the head hitting coach and the man holding the job previously will be his assistant... Not exactly how you draw it up but hey its the Marlins :)

I can see it now. "See, I told you that's how you do it..." every time Bonds says something...

Mets assistant GM John Ricco talked up Ben Zobrist earlier today and I had to double take at that name, thinking Dave had some distant cousin which would explain his Mets affinity

Read closer to 6/206...didnt view the Snakes as a complete enough team even though they have Goldschmidt and Pollock so bit of a puzzling move for me

Happy for Dave Roberts getting the managers gig there.

He was part of one of my favorite/most intense sports viewing moments ever.....seems from afar like a cool guy

For a team that now desperately needs two starting pitchers I'm not sure I understand getting a second closer. How will the dynamic work with Jansen? Is Jansen getting moved? Granted they have had a bad pen and it has cost them, but their playoff time has exposed that even when they had Greinke, they needed at least one more good pitcher for the post season. With Greinke gone, they now need two guys to start with Kershaw.. and that assumes one of those two can start twice in a 5 game series.

Dodgers are going hard after Fernandez with the Marlins.

Will take giving up Seager which they don't want to do along with 2 other stud prospects.

Wouldn't be surprised if they get him considering it is the Marlins.

I would let go of Seager for Fernandez just because I would love to see some of my Dodger fan friends have a meltdown on Facebook this week.

They quickly signed Iwakuma following their miss on Greinke who I feel is greatly underappreciated and could be a great signing
