I did all that shit before the network was down. I will still do it when it comes back up. I didnt need the PS network to go down to be a good dad/husband.

it's really amazing. 3 weeks of working around the clock and nothing except the same regurgitated crap every couple of days out of the PR dept.

They did a two-hour "beta test run" today in Europe; things went smoothly.

So we might be close to having some functionality soon.

That seems like great news. I would imagine it is up by Monday or Tuesday at the latest at this point. Then again, what do I know (seems like as much as them).

I am a PowerUp Rewards member, and I contacted them just now with the online chat thing and asked how can I get my coupon, and the response was:

Unfortunately the $100 Sony PS3 coupon was only sent to a target group of customers who met the following criteria:
? Indicated not owning a PS3 in their ?Gamer Preferences? on their online Power Up Rewards account
? Did not have any transactions or purchases of PS3 consoles, accessories or games in any GameStop store or GameStop.com
? Did not indicate a PS3 item in the Game Library under ?I Want, I Have, or I Had?

Please note that meeting the criteria did not guarantee a coupon.

We cannot resend this coupon but we do encourage you to be sure you have accurately answered all the questions on your ?Gamer Preferences? as we do base our Marketing targets on this information

Granted, I don't think I ever filled out that questionnaire or whatever when I signed up, but the chat person said I wouldn't get one lol.

So basically never buy a PS3 game there and don't tell them that you have any gaming console and you'll get great deals.

I didn't get one either. Just a $25 coupon off the PS3 Move bundle

Yeah I did not get the coupon only a $25 off playstation move.

I have way too much down time right now and no ps3. Whenever I get busy I am sure the network will be up and running with all kinds of new features.

not sure if that means anything, be interesting to see what tomorrow's thread's release date is. Also, on the "why is Sony not telling us shit?" front. I am taking International Marketing this month and my teacher has a hard on for Japan. We have been talking/watching videos about the way they do things all week...for two and a half hours a day. Apparently, in their culture, they do not give dates for completion of jobs. Their motto on that is "a job well done, when its done". They don't give dates, and they don't want dates, they just want you to do the job. Just thought I'd share that little bit of info I learned this week.
