Unfortunately I will be working tonight to get ready for Black Friday. I go in at 8pm and have to set it up. YOu can go online to see a map of where everything will be in the store you are going to. It has been planned out to avoid mad rushes. TV's are spread out over the entire store! I get off around 7 am so hopefully I can get my hands on 2 Nintendo DS Lites for my daughters for $98 dollars a piece which with my discount is $88. Might pick up some clothes items for them other than that, some cold beverages for a college football weekend! I get fri/sat off

Then around noon or 1ish, have Nolie come over and get that brisket going. Kickoff for Bama-Auburn at 2:30 and consume some libations until the later games in the night.
working at wal-mart they are very very strict on associates "understocking". Basically that means setting aside an item for yourself. If caught, an hourly would be terminated and me as salary would be knocked down to an hourly. I haven't punched a clock in over 15 years and don't want to. I will be keeping one eye on them though and the other on the fight between the two enourmous ladies trying to get the last HD TV. Ah, its an adventure....
Just got home after a very long night. It was a madhouse and people everywhere! Big items were laptops, TV's, PS3 and GPS. Laptops were gone by 12:15 am due to the line for it. TV's were basically gone by 6am and PS3 and GPS were all gone by 630am. From 430-630, it was just crazy but died down after that. I got off about 715 and was able to get my two DS Lite's for my daughters so I am set! No death's or injuries but there were some upset customers due to limited quantities but overall went well and the sales were double of last year. I am just glad I am off the next two days to relax with the kids and watch football! Last year, people started coming in around 3; this year they were lined up at midnight!

I went to the Middletown WalMart, got mine haha.
I got there and apparently Wal-Mart never closed their doors last night; I wasn't going after any high-dollar items (mostly smaller stuff for family, friends, and myself), and I got there about 4 am....got all my stuff I wanted except one DVD, waited to check-out until 5....and was out of there by 5:30. Was the easiest and fastest Black Friday I've ever had.

I loved what Walmart did with allowing people to come in and had everything spread out. I didnt know they were doing this until I got there at 4am and wondered where the lines were outside. I wasnt going after the high end items but I got some presents for my daughter and got a few movies.
They said on the news that the first guy in line at this Best Buy here in the Cities got in line at 2pm yesterday for a laptop. I bet he didnt know about Walmart and sitting in the store and keeping warm then freezing his ass off overnight for a laptop.
