I never saw where we got to vote for awards. Alfonso Fernandez losing out to Sanchez is highway robbery. Nearly every statistic in the game Fernandez had better stats than Sanchez. It would be acceptable if Fernandez was a -10 ZR type defensive guy but he isn't. We'll make him a MVP trophy for his mantle
It was on stats plus. Took me a minute to find out but I was one of the 9!
Why would we vote there? We've never done it there before. I thought it was in game, oh well. Probably won't vote next year as well
Stat+ is way easier-but we didn't get the 75% so the computer did the voting this time
That was my bad, I definitely didn't see where it said we are voting in Stats+. I must have completely skipped that green text that day. I do remember seeing that we were going to vote ourselves and I thought it was going to happen after the WS sim.

When do we get to decide on Team Options? I thought it was during the Arb period. Gotta let Durango go with his $15m contract

We need Pete and his spreadsheet to explain it to us. Please Pete!
All right. I'll do it this year since you said please.
Hell ya baby
Doesn't that just provide whether you're paying in or receiving the Rev. Sharing, not the predicted amount you have to pay?
That is correct. But you'll be able to see where you fall in the range of paying in compared to the other teams that are paying in. I'm sure there's a way to do the math and figure out what your number would be.

I think it's basically however much your payroll is over the threshold, you pay half the that amount.
So if the Rev sharing line is $110mil and your payroll is $160 mil, you're $50mil over and would pay $25 mil for the tax.

I have been looking for this information for years. Thank you.

Ahh.... Qaz was missing the last part of the formula. Now it adds up, thanks!
Pay in Rev. Sharing = Team Payroll - Average League Payroll Γ· 2

I always thought it was total expenses not just payroll. Looking at the wording in game though it does say payroll. Makes more sense....TIL lol.

I'm pretty sure it is player expenses right? bc if you cut someone they will be off your payroll, but you still have to pay for that player

Player+Staff Payroll
Not 100% sure, but I think if you release a guy, you certainly pay his remaining salary, but it does not count towards luxury tax. So you can pay $150mil in expenses, but if you cut a guy and paid him $20mil, you'd only use $130mil as the count to base your rev sharing on. Again, not certain, but I think that's how it works.

Luxury Tax - The league sets a "Soft Cap" as a % of the league average payroll, and a "Tax above Soft Cap" as a %. On the first day of the offseason, OOTP totals the payroll expenses of all teams in the league and averages them. It multiplies this number by the Soft Cap % to determine a cap figure. Any team that spent over this cap pays the "Tax above Soft Cap" into a revenue sharing pool. This pool is split equally between the bottom spending teams.
This is from the manual- its interesting because it says payroll expenses but does not clarify what that actually means lmao

Reign gave a good breakdown here:
http://onlinedynasty.net/forum/viewtopi ... 02&t=31761
His breakdown says the opposite of what I said with regards to released players, he says those amounts are still added as part of the tax calculation.

Nope! Was going to release him and I have to pay his salary this season instead of just the buyout.
Was this skipped somehow Ryan? I never got an email in game to make a decision and the only exports I missed were the playoff exports.
Anyone else miss this?

should be the same as declining the team option according to the forum
I did that with SP Ron Gross and McCauley and didn't even think twice lol, but I will have to see if it actually did decline the team option when I get home
