It's not you my man. No one signs on the first sim unless it's an out of the park contract (get it....). Just gotta come with your A game on offers is all. Also, A LOT of teams have money this offseaon (which feels like every offseason) so we're gonna see some inflated contracts.
Like real life, signing an FA superstar is always going to cost way more than re-signing him.

Happened to me the sim prior. I was actually happy about it. I'd been wanting a new scouting director but didn't want to waste money on firing mine.

The AL Central feels like the Cold War. If Qaz picks up someone via trade/FA then Ryan or myself make a trade/FA to keep up. If I pick up someone then Qaz/Ryan picks up someone. I have a feeling I'll be Russia here where i get outspent and I go bankrupt

I think you have the highest budget of the 3 of us. But I agree. Maybe you should dip after 2088 to a new division.

We ain't going anywhere. If you or Qaz wants to win a division title the A(L)east would be prime pickings

I still remember when everyone said the AL was better than the NL.

Something has to be wrong with my exports. I offered like 5 contracts yesterday and none signed with other teams and there is no history of negotiations.

Check the export tracker or make sure you get pinged when you export. That being said, the last 10 or so years no one signs in the first sim unless they get well above their asking price or near their asking price and love the team they are going to.

One thing I have noticed is that if you just click "meet demand" it doesn't recognize it as an offer. You can click that, go into pending offers, and it won't show up. But then you can't offer them another contract because it says you've already submitted an offer. I thought I had read that they had fixed that issue with the last patch, but I tried it on a cheap player this time around, and the same problem still exists. So I've learned to click "submit offer" instead of "meet demand", or just change the offer by $1 and you're good to go.

This was a bug in a recent version. Make sure you're up to date on OOTP versions.
