So I dont get it. Didnt they drop it because it was losing too much money? Did someone learn math in the meantime to make it work? Full dosclosure I know nearly nothing about this story

There was a story on AL.com not long ago saying this was all a start to making the moves for UAB to be strictly a med school and UAH to only be for math and sciences, so more undergrads would funnel to UAT. I don't think it was very credible but, who knows? It also said UA was a billion dollars in debt. It is odd that anytime UAB makes some kind of athletic progress, the UA board kills it. They were set to hire Jimbo Fisher one time and the board would not approve it. I'll try to find a link to the AL.com story.
