2013 College Football Season
Re: 2013 College Football Season
I watch/know plenty of college ball. USU lost their head coach and does not concern me as a Trojan fan in the slightest. I don't care how they did last year.

Having Kiffin as your coach has to concern you a little as a Trojan fan?!?packsyD22 wrote:I watch/know plenty of college ball. USU lost their head coach and does not concern me as a Trojan fan in the slightest. I don't care how they did last year.

Re: 2013 College Football Season
I was thinking this same thing earlier but didn't post it. If I were a USC fan I wouldn't overlook a single team on the schedule. USC could get Kiffin'ed in any one of them. Even a "closer than it should be" win over a USU would be cause for concern.ajalves wrote:Having Kiffin as your coach has to concern you a little as a Trojan fan?!?packsyD22 wrote:I watch/know plenty of college ball. Re: 2013 College Football Season
He's not my favorite SC coach of all time however not all the teams issues last season were on him. The defense has to been how it as the mid 2000's. Not only that but if you look at what he's doing recruiting wise, I am sure Indiana would be glad to have someone like him.ajalves wrote:Having Kiffin as your coach has to concern you a little as a Trojan fan?!?packsyD22 wrote:I watch/know plenty of college ball. I would give him one more season before you pass judgement however, if they play how they finished in that abysmal sun bowl, then he better be gone.

Re: 2013 College Football Season
How much of his recruiting is him and how much of it is USC though? What would his recruiting be like at Indiana?

Re: 2013 College Football Season
I've met him several times (he's come to our school to scout a few of our players, my mom is an employee on campus etc) and although he's easy to hate via television he's a very like able guy. I will say the McKay center is doing him massive favors (prob the third best facility behind Oregon and Bama) but I think he's a big name and certain kids would go to Indiana who may otherwise not.LetsGoPeay wrote:How much of his recruiting is him and how much of it is USC though? Like I said anything lower than 8 wins and I would like to see him go. 8-4 with a win over Stanford or Ucla or putting themselves in position to play for the PAC 12 title then he should be able to stay. I am however, not as hard on him as the people who donate thousands of dollars on the school. I think USC goes 9-4 this season with a bowl win in the Holiday Bowl.

Re: 2013 College Football Season
Im really not liking this "hype" Miami is getting.
I have read a lot of people expecting a 10-2,11-1 type season and they are the sexy pick for a bounce back season from the big programs that have been terrible lately, USC,Miami, Nebraska, etc.
At best I see 8-4, 9-3ish with this defense and an outside shot at playing for the ACC championship.
Yes Duke and Morris will be awesome but that D has more holes than it did last year.
Losses:
UNC
FSU
Florida
Possibly GTech

Re: 2013 College Football Season
Best case for Nebraska is probably one loss. Worst case 4 losses (regular season). We should get off to a 7-0 start and then I can see us losing to Michigan and one other team. Our offense should be awesome...defense is a question mark. If we make it to the B1G championship game I see us getting crushed by OSU. Looking forward to seeing one of the best offenses we've had in years.

Re: 2013 College Football Season
Cal is fucked....
#22 Northwestern
Portland State
#2 Ohio State
#3 Oregon
Washington State
#21 UCLA
#25 Oregon State
Washington
Arizona
#24 USC
Colorado
#4 Stanford
A lot of articles have Cal having the hardest schedule... playing #2,3,4,21,22,24,25....
I'm guessing 3-9 with wins over Portland State, Washington State and Colorado and a Freshman QB. Would be fucking amazed with 6-6.

Kentucky, 4-8
Western KY (in Nashville)--WIN. Western embarassed us at home last year and the players are very angry about it. Plus...it's Petrino.
Miami (OH)--WIN. It's Miami. Of Ohio.
Louisville--LOSS. We could win this game....I hope we win this game....but head over heart on this one. That said, 2007 could happen again.
BYE
Florida--LOSS. The first of three straight brutal SEC games.
@ South Carolina--LOSS. I just hope Clowney doesn't hurt anybody in this game.
Alabama--LOSS. At least I'll (maybe) get to tailgate w Biffy
BYE
@ Miss St--LOSS. Another game that we could possibly win, but it'll depend on the injury situation after the last four games
Alabama State--WIN. Nuff said.
Missouri--LOSS. Another game that we could win, but I don't think we will be able to stop Franklin.
@ Vanderbilt--WIN. Dunno why, I just think we win this game.
@Georgia--LOSS.
Tennessee--LOSS. I hope we win this game, it'll be close, but I think we'll be so low on the depth chart at this point that we won't have the horses to stop UT's passing attack.
4-8 as we load up big-time next year; we added another 4-star recruit (our 8th of this class; school record for a class is three!), 6'5" WR Blake Bone who chose us over UofL, Arkansas, Clemson, South Carolina, and a few others. Cannot wait until Neal Brown gets the playmakers he needs for the Air Raid.

Johnny Football suspended for first half of Rice game.

Re: 2013 College Football Season
punishment fits the crime. NCAA wants to punish him without actually punishing him. Lets have him sit out half a game vs a cupcake.Cnasty wrote:Johnny Football suspended for first half of Rice game.

Re: 2013 College Football Season
Sounds like a Les Miles type of punishment

Re: 2013 College Football Season
this is probably the dumbest thing I've seen in awhile.. either suspend or don't.. If you have proof suspend him, if you dont then let him play.
