No more NCAA

"By now, most fans will have heard that EA's licensing agreement with the NCAA is set to expire and that we have agreed to part ways. I'm sure gamers are wondering what this means.

This is simple: EA SPORTS will continue to develop and publish college football games, but we will no longer include the NCAA names and marks. Our relationship with the Collegiate Licensing Company is strong and we are already working on a new game for next generation consoles which will launch next year and feature the college teams, leagues and all the innovation fans expect from EA SPORTS.

We took big creative strides with this year's college game and you’ll see much more in the future. We love college football and look forward to making more games for our fans."

Nice. So the NCAA is out, but honestly... the NCAA is mostly out of D1 college football anyway... If CLC has enough schools, it will be fine. It will possibly look like what Pro Evolution Soccer is vs. Fifa. 75% of the teams with real names, and then a few College of Boston's and School in Western Virginia University etc.

My only question to why EA hasnt tried to set up a bowl game with the NCAA and it would keep it all going. Think about it the money is definetly there. Or why they havent set up a bowl game in the past.

I had it on Dreamcast. It was really, really, really bad. The NFL and NBA games were great, though.

While the NBA 2K games are awesome, I absolutely hated both the NFL and college football games the put out. Players all moved like they were on skates.

That was my thought when I mentioned NBA2K. The game is fantastic from a physics perspective and the graphics are good too.

Hahahahaha. no good sports games?????? the sports games were the best games on the system and better than any EA games at the time. Nfl2k and NBA2k were fucking brilliant. Virtua Tennis was even better. The 2k baseball was pretty good. There were some decent racing games. Code: Veronica is still one of my favorite games ever. Had some good fighting games, too. A lot of the games were arcade-y kind of shit, but they were still pretty fun.

I miss playing Wrestlemania 2000. Great game. N64 was a good system, but that controller is #2 worst of all time, only the GameCube tops it. Ranking systems is tough. I have never had one that didn't have at least a couple stellar games that the memory of playing really sticks with you.
