Also, do games have to be installed on PS4 like on Xbox? Once you install the game on Xbox the disc is no longer needed. If this is the case on PS4, then could we just pass a game around the league?
Xbox's new sharing policy is the most convoluted shit ever.
As far as exclusives go, I would have the give the edge to MS right now. Destiny was the only one that caught my eye for PS4. Titanfall, Forza 5, Dead Rising 3, and Ryse all looked good for Xbox.
Sony had to have withheld a lot of their games. They said 20 exclusives from their studios alone. 12 being new IPs. How many did they show? There were five at the reveal in February, and how many today? Santa Monica has multiple teams (likely working on a new god of war), naughty dog has two teams (likely a new uncharted), and guerrilla is said to be working on a new IP.
MS already had bad pub with their reveal and just shot themselves in the foot again with that price point.

I thought they do better with sales and financially than Sony?
They did this gen. Sony made a huge mistake with price point and release being late. They were well behind before they even got to the shelves. This is not the case this go round. Xbox seems to be making a huge mistake with price point and the whole ambiguity of always connect/used games. Sony came right out and answered that and left no doubt. I would be shocked if Xbox outsold ps3 this gen by as much as they did 360/ps3.
Well I'm probably going to run to town and hit Gamestop at some point this week. I figure I'll just drop $20 every couple weeks on this beast. The biggest question now is to get COD on PS3 or PS4.

At last check, Sony was outselling Microsoft by about 20,000 (estimated). MS is killing Sony in the US but worldwide Sony has the lead in sales. Problem financially is that Sony sold the ps3 at a loss for the first couple years, even at $600.

I just reserved mine at gamestop, you have to put down $100 to hold it. The store I went to said they were only getting about 30 and there was also a cap to controllers as well so I preorderd an extra of those too. The store opened at 10 today, I was there at 10:03 and was already the 12th to order. Might make sense to preorder these ASAP.

Now that we know all the specs about Microsoft and Sony's new video-game-and-lots-of-other-stuff consoles, it's time to settle this war before it gets any uglier: Which system is better when they're put side-by-side in an early test of living-room supremacy? Let's break it down, based on information gleaned from the many reactions that surfaced after the PlayStation 4 reveal last night at the E3 conference in Los Angeles.

Indeed, Monday's opening day of the annual gaming expo was a chance for the big reveal on both Microsoft's new Xbox One and Sony's PS4 — after initial previews that came out earlier this year, it's never too early to woo casual and hardcore gamers alike. And these systems have moved on from courting just the gamer set — Nintendo Wii proved once again you could win consumers over with easy-to-use interfaces and games that appeal to your grandmother — to the entire family living room, long a goal of both companies but now within reach with advances in motion control, voice recognition, and, you know, the Internet. So, with that in mind, we won't bring up the nerdy Final Fantasy or Call of Duty news in this space. Let's just figure out which of these super-consoles you and yours might prefer come their near-simultaneous release this holiday season.

So, yeah, this one isn't even close. Personally, I think Kotaku said it best: "Sony Just Smacked The Xbox One In The Mouth." There is little doubt among the gamer set about which system will be flying off shelves when both debut later this year. Why do you think is already winning the Amazon pre-order war? Sony's Playstation 4 is cheaper, stronger, and looks nicer on your television stand. But then again, maybe the gamer set doesn't get to decided this one, right?
