Anything with 100% fruit juice is fine but like the NDL way, moderation is key.steelcitychaos wrote:Cnasty wrote:Gatorade is so bad for your teeth.
Worse than soda if you can imagine that.
Married to a dental hygienist rant over.
I have to change the grocery priority list, what juices out there are not so bad on the teeth?
so true.Weasel wrote: The only jelly beans I like are the starburst brand, otherwise it's too much of a gamble guessing which colors are which flavors.

Gatorade is the worst thing you can give to kids.Teeth wise at least.

For fancy expensive shit I like Bristol Farms and Wholefoods. Best part of those places, especially Wholefoods: hot milf-city.
man I want to live in a place with a grocery store like that...ReignOnU wrote:dakshdar wrote:Ralphs is just Kroger re-branded in SoCal. When I was in Virginia I shopped at Harris Teeter, which I liked a little more than I like Ralphs.Cnasty wrote:Ralphs is pretty cool.

No idea about all of those places, but Kroger is based in SW Ohio and dominates this area. The remodels and new locations they've put up in the last 5 years destroy any other supermarkets that I've been to (in or out of Ohio).
Random things about the new Marketplace designs:
- Fresh Sushi Bar
- Wine Tasting Bar with Live Music
- Starbucks
- Soup/Cheese/Olive Bar
- Fuel Rewards program partnering with Shell
- Fastest checkout lines (using infrared cameras)
The first Marketplace that Kroger had was here in Mansfield. Prices are jacked sky high in there though. Even compared to the other Kroger less than 10 miles away.ReignOnU wrote:dakshdar wrote:Ralphs is just Kroger re-branded in SoCal. Until your kids lean or sit on the scale/bagging area thus fucking up the whole operation and causing an attendant to have to come and punch in their code. This only happens.... oh every fucking time I do the self checkout. I think they do it on purpose now.sixpackdan101 wrote:Self checkout lanes are awesome. This is the most ridiculous post in NDL history.DRiccio21 wrote:I've spoken about my addiction to freeze pops quite a few times.
are we talking traditional freeze pops? otter pops? giant pop ice's?
this isn't a question to be taken lightly. then there are the ones where they are almost double the size and the flavors are fruits (ie yellow for pineapple, etc) and then some that taste like chemicals.
pink is a tricky color. a good pink can be like good pink lemonade and that wins all day. but a shitty brand of pink can be horrible and be near the bottom, same goes for blue. Red is probably the safest bet and is almost always a solid grab, but its like the IPA of freeze pops... enjoyable for 1 or 2 at a sitting, but tough to binge eat reds. i'd probably slip green above orange and I agree purple falls in last.
Damn, solid point.Uuaww wrote:watermelon sour patch kids are pretty awesome.packsyD22 wrote:You know what flavor no one has gotten right EVER. AND I MEAN EVER. Watermelon. Terrible no matter who makes it. It is prob why it is the best fruit on the planet, because you can't create it in candy form!
Sounds like an issue of having 1 awesome grocery store in an area with limited competition.Whittness10 wrote:The first Marketplace that Kroger had was here in Mansfield. i know we've had this conversation before and i said how gross ours was that's like 200 yards from my house (yes that's 200 yards my walking distance) and i said i didn't get it.Cnasty wrote:Ill say it again.
You havent grocery shopped until you have been in a Publix.
You Northerners need to try it.
The only thing I have against Trader Joes (and I do shop there all the time) is that if you have a brand preference for something, you're shit out of luck. So, you end up having to shop at two stores if you want to buy some Breyers or Cheerios or whatever.DRiccio21 wrote:i know we've had this conversation before and i said how gross ours was that's like 200 yards from my house (yes that's 200 yards my walking distance) and i said i didn't get it.Cnasty wrote:Ill say it again.

well they renovated and we have a brand new modern publix. its a hell of a lot better and better than the northern stop and shops and stuff like that but its nowhere near a good Trader Joes, imo.
the sandwiches at publix are incredible tho.
plus they didn't have the meat Noley needed... so i know he's not a fan (at least that was his excuse for his grilled Frisbees)
