man everyone seems to have hated the opening ceremonies...
i'm a little drunk and just got home and watched the first 45 minutes or so, i thought it was pretty cool.
kinda like a cross between a game of Civ and the movie Hunger Games

I was at a sushi bar and it they had it on and it just looked like a jumbled mess tossed in with a queen and a former Beatle.
Nothing blew up, no one died, and the U.S. wore their made in China outfits so I guess all is well.

Same here. I've watched a lot of the soccer one.

Guy was pullin some good jokes on Twitter tonight during the whole thing....
"When do they depict us saving their asses in World War 2?"
"Apparently the Queen will be showing up soon. After George Michael, Elizabeth II will arrive"
"Greek athletes enter the stadium. There was a slight delay because of credit card issues"
"Aruba has an Olympic team??? What do they compete in? Competitive Bartending?"
"Argentina arrives, tries to steal a small island in the Olympic stadium" (my personal favorite)
"Here's Nigeria! Guaranted a Gold Medal in E-mall Spam!"

I would have to think just walking around at the opening ceremonies and playing for your country would be the most amazing unbelievable thing of all time.

What are we looking at time frame difference?
Never know what's live and what has already happened sometimes
Replays on a certain channel and time? I really only want to watch boxing and track and field events

Started off good. Made it seem like they were gonna progress from pre industrial London to current london but after the progression to early industrial it just began to drive into a big jumbled mess jumping around in an order than didn't make much sense. IMO

While watching DirecTV's channel 603, I hit the red button while watching the olympics and it brought up an interactive menu that has the schedule for the day and what channel the event is on.
Just thought I would share.
