EA posts schedule of info release for '13
Re: EA posts schedule of info release for '13
For the 14th year in a row EA got their hands on a new camera and went to all the stadiums and used this great new technology.

They recorded chants from within the stadiums this year, cant believe that hadn't to this point. Definitely all the examples they showed sounded way more authentic.
Re: EA posts schedule of info release for '13
They let Kirk and Brad ad-lib this year instead of reading from a script, that should be a notable difference we all realize immediately.
Re: EA posts schedule of info release for '13
This all should improve gameplay.
although pretty impressive. I think April 17th will tell a lot on how much they focused on "gameplay"

Yeah looking forward to that one actually.kdog36 wrote:This all should improve gameplay.

I think the stadium chants being recorded from the actual stadiums will improve gameplay for NDL games though. Their examples sounded much better and really authentic, like you were there.

Yeah I'm looking forward to this as well. I've played with the sound off for years now because it was just the same canned, monotonous crowd noise and announcing year in and year out.Block M wrote:Yeah looking forward to that one actually.kdog36 wrote:This all should improve gameplay.

Pre-ordered yesterday. Sadly, I think NCAA is the only football game I'm getting this year. Madden has been getting better, but the people I play against only lasted from September to about December. Not a good investment...

Yeah if there was more interest/ppl playing madden i would get again. I usually get both every year just cause im a football head. I want to try and get at least 10-12 interested this season for an NDL online franchise, but it wasnt too well received this time around.cougnix wrote:Pre-ordered yesterday. Like you, I usually buy both every year, but then I realize about a month later that I never touch Madden anymore.
It is usually a good game, I just enjoy NCAA more.

Yeah madden is great for just wanting to play football, without any extra shit going on. Its straight forward for the most part unless you like MUT...thats about the only thing extra, and create a superstar. I used to only play madden back in the day, till i met Stimpin Lol bastaaaad!The_Niddler wrote:swellvermin wrote:Yeah if there was more interest/ppl playing madden i would get again. Ugggh, it's all about how pretty the game looks. What new things you can do with the jerseys...oh we added the USC girls too! Fucking EA, get a clue. We're good with the graphics we just want the game to actually play right without glitches and online dynasty failures.

Here are some tidbits from that GTTV show.
On last night's GTTV, the show provided the first gameplay information for NCAA Football 13. With a combination of game footage and narration from gameplay designer (and former Florida QB) Larry Richart, first word of improvements to the passing game were revealed.
- There was essentially one type of pass in past, now 25 different trajectories.
- This includes the ability to pass over linebackers and users can lead the pass with the left stick for added control
- There are 20+ new drop backs, based upon proper dropbacks depending on the routes in the play.
- QBs can throw on run without setting up, but throws are more difficult across their body.
- Icons dim at snap, lit up when receivers able to make the catch.
- No more psychic defensive backs.
- Both offensive and defensive players "have to see it before they can make a play on the ball."
EA SPORTS plans to release complete gameplay details and information on Tuesday, April 17. A link to the GTTV clip will be added here once it is available.

Re: EA posts schedule of info release for '13
I really hope its not something like the receiver can't catch the ball at all unless his icon is lit up. That would be incredibly lame because it's not uncommon to see a QB throw into heavy coverage and have the receiver make a clutch grab you wouldn't have expected. I really don't want them to make certain passes have a 0% completion rate right out of the gate.shel311 wrote:This one seems silly though.Block M wrote:Icons dim at snap, lit up when receivers able to make the catch
