3-(7-6)

5-(7-6)

9-(4-9)
10-(4-9)
Re: my fantasy squad
I took first in the regular season at 10-3, second was also 10-3 but my season points are 100 points above the second place points. Brady helped out a lot and interestingly enough Forte...until last weekend. Best scoring week was week 1 with over 200 points but I have a feeling since I have the bye this week for the playoffs that I'll have a high scoring game and next week I will proceed to have the worst week in fantasy football ever.
Re: my fantasy squad
playoff time... i ended up the #4 seed playing the #1 seed who is 14-0 against me on the season
he had Demarco Murray and Greg Jennings, so i (hopefully) caught a break there.
my team:
qb - Rivers
rb - C Johnson
rb - M. Bush (or McFadden, but he's probably out again)
rb/flex - L. Blount or Felix Jones ... not sure who to play here
wr - P. Harvin
wr - Roddy White
te - Finley
k - Novak
D - Falcons (vs Jags) or Seahawks (@ Bears)
who do i start at my #3 rb spot? and who i play as my D
his team is
QB - Rodgers
RB - Rice
RB - Bradshaw
RB - Barber
WR - L. Robinson
WR - J. Jones
TE - Gronkowski
K - Kasey
D - Ravens
thoughts on my chances?

i'd be twice as fucked if he had Murray, Jennings and Andre Johnson in his lineup... they're all hurt on his benchbrwnbear wrote:your fucked.

Rodgers, Rice, Gronkowski are killers. Need to figure a way to stop them from getting to the stadium and your golden.

Breaking it down at RB:
Dallas is normally better against the run than they were in the Giants game this week, but they just don't score rushing touchdowns (4 on the season and only 1 for Jones). Without Murray, I don't know that Jones can carry the ball a whole lot as a feature back. However, Dallas has also only let up 7 rushing TDs this year (2 to the Giants on Sunday).
Tampa, meanwhile, is way worse against the run (gives up 40 more yards a game rushing) and has given up 19 rushing touchdowns, so you'd figure Jones is good for at least one rushing TD.
Going on averages, I think Jones is a better bet to score a TD (based solely on the fact that TB gives up more than 1 a game on average while Dallas gives up about 0.5 a game on average) and Jones should finish with a slightly better rushing total (TB gives up ~140 a game vs Dallas giving up ~100).
I'd probably start Jones. Dallas won't have to worry about Freeman so I expect them to focus on the run. Meanwhile, TB is awful and should get shredded through the air and on the ground.
On defense, I'd go with the Seahawks. Chicago is turning the ball over about twice a game on average with all their back-ups playing and they're giving up 5 sacks a game average in their last three games. Meanwhile, Jacksonville has only had about 1 turnover a game in their last three and gave up no sacks in two of those games (3 in the other, for a 1 per game average over the last three).

Re: my fantasy squad
no worry about the Bears being at home for Seattle as opposed to the Falcons playing at home in a night nationally televised game?

Re: my fantasy squad
Seahawks Defense scored 20 points for me last week. They have scored good points as a defense the second half of the season. They have a good pass rush and Haney is going to get destroyed.DRiccio21 wrote:no worry about the Bears being at home for Seattle as opposed to the Falcons playing at home in a night nationally televised game?
Jennings getting hurt killed me last week. I lost by 3 points and Holmes was on my bench with 10 points...ugh...

How did the Bears at home for KC work out?DRiccio21 wrote:no worry about the Bears being at home for Seattle as opposed to the Falcons playing at home in a night nationally televised game?
I think one big thing is that the Jacksonville coaches don't force the pass. They're content to lose running the ball 28 times. Martz is a crazy eightball in Chicago and Haney will still be throwing the ball after this third pick of the game.

i think i read that the Falcons are 3rd against the run tho.
i also like playing defenses of teams that have good offenses since they should control the ball more and give less field position. i am leaning towards Jones and the Falcons.
but i'm still listening to thoughts... thanks alot Joe, really good stuff.

Pretty much means i'll get bounced in round one......happens every time someone crushes the regular season
my team won in round 1 with 178 points .
my team for what its worth
QB - Brees
RB - Peterson (got Gerhart too)
RB - Steven Jackson
WR - Welker
WR - Colston
FLEX - Lynch or stevie johnson
TE - Tony Gonzalez
K - usually rotate.
Defense - Philly or Detroit.
For a 12 team league i am pretty stacked. averaged 125 or so per game
Round 1 of the playoffs had an explosion (as jsence would put it) and score 178

Re: my fantasy squad
there haven't been many rb's better than Lynch.
i traded him for Boldin in my league right before he went on his 8 game TD streak, lol.
i swear i draft great fantasy teams and trade away EVERYONE in deals i think are good and they all turn out bad.

Re: my fantasy squad
i think your chances are pretty good, Dave. Gronk is a monster (playing him in one league) and so is Rodgers (playing him in other league), but both the Broncos and the Chiefs will be holding the ball as much as possible.
I would choose Blount over Jones because Felix could be hurt play one of this game and you know Blount is both the starter and the goalline back. Nothing from the Cowboys guarantees a rushing TD, especially because they can't runblock. As for your defense, I think Atlanta is better stopping the run and everytime Gabbert passes that's a good thing for your point total either for sacks or picks. Seattle has the early game issue and are off a short week from MNF so if there's ever a time to not be as prepared I would think it would be here (not that that's a sole reason to not play them)
My issues are in one league where defenses have a decent role in points: Atlanta vs. Jax or DET @OAK
my WR: Fitz, Jordy Nelson (Andre J)
flex: Stevie Johnson
my RB (need 2 or could use 3 if a flex): Barber, Jacobs (Tolbert, Ingram)
Other league I need two RB, two WR and a WR/RB flex
-M. Bush, McGahee, Jacobs, Morris, Gerhart, Hillis
-Bowe, Austin, Stevie, Floyd
thinking: Bush & McGahee, Austin & Bowe, Stevie (if hand injury is minor)
...any input is appreciated I'm the 2-seed with horrible points taking on the 3 then a 4-seed taking on the 1 respectively

Semi finals in my league..
(13-1)
QB - Rogers
RB1 - Wells,
RB2 - Turner, McFadden, Jones, Gerhart
WR1 - Colston
WR2 - Wallace
TE - Gronkowski
K - Kasay
DEF - Houston
Bench notables - Boldin, Washington
Any one with any opinions on the RB2 slot?

Gerhart will split carries with AP, Turner is due to go off. Is McFadden playing? Jones is a toothpick waiting to snap.brwnbear wrote:Semi finals in my league..

i feel like Felix has been hurt in EVERY game he's ever played in. he's due for a full game!!

Re: my fantasy squad
I just realized that Jones only had 8 rushing TDs for 421 career carries.DRiccio21 wrote:i feel like Felix has been hurt in EVERY game he's ever played in. he's due for a full game!!
I'd downgrade your odds of him scoring slightly even if Tampa has given up 19 rushing TDs this year.
