Funny my dog's name is Utah also. He is a Boxer/Australian Sheppard mix. We got him from an animal outreach in Utah. They rescued him from a kill house. Its great that people give their time and money to help these dogs.

Looks like my dog Sarah...she definitely has Australian Shepard in her.

so we have 2 dogs. they are bothe full breed Brittany spaniels. One, Petey, is on hte large side for the breed. The other, Dustie, is on the small side for the breed.

Both were rescue dogs from the Brittany recue and have both been so appreciative to be a part of our family.

They sleep in our bedroom in doggie beds in the corner of the room. Tey have a set schedule of eating, as every do should have. And they are just awesome dogs to have around. They love to be at our feet and just lay around.

I do warn you. Up until about 1 1/2 years old, they are rambuncious little creatures. But after that they are very chill.

Anyways I could go on and on, but if you have a question about hte breed let me know.

here are some pics....

agreed...the older one with the OSU tags. Petey bolted yesterday.

After mowing i didnt close the gate well enough and being that my dog is ADD, he goes and checks the gate everytime he goes out back. This time he managed to get himself out and he took off. The younger one Dustie went across the street but came back immediately once I called for her.

Petey has done this a handful of times. He will take off for about 30-45 minutes and come back and sit by the gate or front door once hes done whoring about the neighborhood. My wife was so pissed off casue it was my fault but so releived once he finally came back.

Dogs are way smarter than we give them credit for and they make for great buddies to go tool about.

My dog used to jump the fence in our backyard. Shes a medium sized dog and jumps the 4 foot fence. Well one day she got hit by a truck right in front of our house. Didn't get hurt too bad...still has some small scars above her eye where hair wont grow (not even noticable really), had a limp for a couple months, and she had to wear one of those funnel things around her neck. So after that we trained the shit out of her that she does not belong in the front yard, and if she does go into the front yard, she is not to step past the end of the driveway. There is now nothing keeping her in our backyard, we removed the gates completely. Not even a cat walking in front of where the gate used to be will make her leave the yard. Take a couple days to train your dog to stay in the backyard and it will be well worth it to never have to worry about it again. I'll let you know how we did it if you are interested at all.

Also my dog is deathly afraid of sewers...if we ever take her on a walk (which we rarely do) and we walk past a sewer, she either digs her claws into the cement of the street and wont budge, or walks waaaaay around it in the grass of somebody's yard. Only thing I can think of is that she saw a possum come out/go into the sewer one day. One of her weird quirks.

I have a border collie mix, Foxy.
I rescued her from a humane society just north of Columbus when I lived down there back in 2000.

Sometimes, I swear, the dog is smarter than I am.

And man does she love the snow.

while your dog is afraid of sewers, i'm deathly afraid of my dog stepping in one, or on one of those grates, cuz he's already had 2 ACL surgeries and I don't want to have him go through another one

My dog Coco. She's a four month old Beagle/Pomeranian mix. They call them Pomeagles. Personally I think Beameranian sounds better. She's moderately insane right now but smarter than hell.

My dog is INSANE. 11 months old pure bred Jack Russell Terrier. Weighs no more than 15 pounds. He is hyper as shit. The only time he is relaxed is when he is sleeping or eating. Any other time it almost feels like I have a kid who just learned how to walk. Very friendly little puppy but doesn't have any obedience and only learns things that he wants to learn, which isn't much. Hoping that maybe he settles down as he ages and once he gets out of his puppy stage.

Might post a pic later if I can get one.
