Wow crazy story if it played out like that. Without the details can't blame the dude if he kicks in my door in the middle of the night but Texas shoots first, ask questions later.

Missed it in my initial post, but he played for the Pelicans.

I came across a really old article from around when Chris Paul was traded from New Orleans.
It wasn't written as if it was a definite proposed trade, but it mentioned one of the rumored talks then were having at the time was Chris Paul for a 2nd year player and a rookie...Steph Curry and Klay Thompson.

True, but all the sports are doing it. Yes, baseball added a Wild Card Round, but baseball playoffs last too far into November as well. To me, baseball makes the least amount of sense with the weather an all.

NBA spaces the games out too far. That's their problem. If hockey can go one day between games then basketball certainly can too

Hockey doesn't have to worry about nationally televising every game.

The finals schedule is preposterous. Game 1 is tonight, 6/2. A potential game 7 would be 17 days later on 6/19. That's 2.5 weeks to play 7 games.
The NHL is just as guilty for the finals. Game 1 was 5/30. A potential game 7 would be 6/15, 17 days later.
I understand not playing back to back nights as that presumably affects the product on display through fatigue, but having 2 days off between 6 of 7 NBA games and 5 of 7 NHL games is crazy.

Dang.
Doesn't the NBA usually do a Tuesday/Thursday/Sunday rotation every year to avoid a Friday or Saturday night game? I see there's some Wednesday and Friday mixed in this season.
