Reminded of ND doing the same thing last game. If you're up 8 or 10 with 2 minutes to go, it makes sense. But up 4 with 2 or 3 to go, IMO scoring in any amount of time seems more important than using up the entire shot clock.

What's the history on championship games that were rematches of games played earlier that season?

I was watching the game as I was driving home lol.

On the missed obvious flagrant where the dude slapped/half punched the Wisconsin guy, was he at least called for a foul?

Jeff Goodman via Twitter : One NBA executive. "The refs make NBA refs look pristine -- which is saying something."

So proud of this team. Sucks to not have the title, but 38 straight.... One hell of a run. This was one of the most likeable group of kids to ever wear the jersey

Still in he hunt. Need Duke to pull off the win to get second. This will be the First time in 5 years that I did not win it.

That video is awesome.

i was about as confident as i've been in an underdog in ages about Wisconsin beating Kentucky but i gotta say i'm not as confident they beat Duke.

i think they will, but the game is going to be much closer. i think its a coin flip game and really depends who gets hot/stays out of foul trouble (which is basically true of any closely matched basketball game).

Duke is playing really strong right now. They seem so consistent on offense that if Wisky has a 5-6 minute spell without scoring like they did in the UK game, Duke will put them away.

Duke is prone to some really bad defensive stretches though. They also don't have the post defenders that Kentucky did so Kaminsky should have a big day. Okafor is great on offense but not a good defender. Kaminsky isn't a great defender by any means but he's good in the scheme and should at least make things more difficult for Okafor.

I think the key matchups are going to be Koenig/Jackson/Gasser vs Jones/Cook and Dekker vs Winslow. Dekker is playing so well right now that if he plays 85% of what he has the last few games I think Wisconsin can win. Winslow is playing very well but Dekker is the toughest matchup he's faced in the tournament.

Hayes is clearly better than anyone Duke throws out at the 4. That should allow him to help on Okafor too.

What's going to be real interesting is who enforces the pace of the game. Duke beat Wisconsin by 10 early in the season but you can just about throw out early season results because of the evolution of the teams throughout the season. I also think that anyone who says that Wisconsin is going to have a letdown after beating Kentucky is a complete moron. This is the national championship game.

Watching Coach Cal just bitch and moan all night was pure gold.

I thought two noticeable things Wisconsin was able to do last night to pull the upset was

1 -as soon as a shot went up and it missed they weren't gonna get beat in transition a lot like they did in that UNC game.

2 - Clearly having Jackson back is a huge deal for wisky, he was able to get around guys last night and pass it real well.

I hope Bo Ryan wins a title, great coach and seems like a cool ass dude as well.

I hope this makes Cal go back to Kentucky and stop all this nonsense about him coming to Cleveland next year.

Just out of curiosity, is the hatred of Kentucky due to Jason's antics or Cal's?

Personally, I was hoping for them to pull it off. And no, I'm not a UK fan. Can't really say why I wanted to see them win it out, I just thought it would be cool to see a team go 40-0. Plus from the interviews I've seen from some of the players (ok, maybe exclude that one Harrison twin now ;) ) they seem like pretty good kids, good heads on their shoulders, etc.

I think within the NDL it is a little of both, or maybe a little more of Jason's than Cal's. I think it's more done to get him riled up more than anything.
