Re: PS4 in 2013

I just saw a new version of the PS3 at Best Buy yesterday. Smaller than the white one they have on there.
Very true. Planetside 2 might come out before that. It's free to play so I'll try it out. Otherwise there is nothing. I might go pick up NFS and assassins creed.BIGmike wrote:Just realized there is nothing worth a damn coming out until Infamous in March.
I do standby most of the time. I have been selecting games to download via the app so when i get home its already completed. If I was going out of town however I would shut it down. I just know ill be back on it tonight and want to avoid having to download patches and all that madness.The_Niddler wrote:cougnix wrote:Who shuts down the PS4 vs. using the standby feature?
I usually shut my down, however, the last 2 days I have left it in standby mode.
In standby mode, it will download game patches and firmware updates automatically.
I believe you can also send downloads to it while away from home. I have not played around with this feature yet.
Go to the PSN Store website and can somehow tell it to download so by the time you get home, it is downloaded.
It goes back into standby mode once the download is complete.
Standby will also continue charging your controller.
The only downfall is that is uses 10 watts of electricity in standby mode, compared to nothing when shut off.
But think about it this way, 10 watts would take 6 hours to equal 1 60 watt light bulb being on for an hour.

A 90% cheat to find out.BFiVL wrote:They do but you have to select the friend from friends list and look individually.
Standby is nice.Cnasty wrote:I might jump on this standby train as I hated jumping on to play and noticing there is a huge patch for Ghosts that squashed that idea instantly

OCD I guess
Thats just crazy talk!OracleHCR wrote:if you log onto the ps3 there are a lot of few games.
There are currently 12 PS3 and 6 Vita games available in addition to the 2 PS4 games. Each week on Tuesdays they rotate in one or two games for PS3 or Vita and rotate out some of the older ones. Once you download a game, you can always go back and download it again later if you delete it, even if it isn't in the free collection anymore. If you don't download a game while it is in the collection, you can't get it free after it leaves the collection. So, download everything, even if you delete it, and you can always come back to try it later.Cnasty wrote:How often do they release PS+ games?
I thought there was this whole library to play but there is only 2 right now?

I expect you'll only be getting about 1 PS4 game a month for a few months, but they probably won't be taking any off for that system. All the November releases were already announced as the games are announced a few days before the start of the month. December releases will probably be leaked just after Thanksgiving.
I like it, in theory. You should have the choice of downloading it or not.Cnasty wrote: noticed that even if you have the disc for a game, it still downloads the game to the hard drive? I saw this when Ghosts had taken up 49GB or whatever on the HD when I had the disc
