apparently Miami can’t trade Bam cause of some max deal trade rule?
For the record I saw this on a random tweet and have no idea if true.
It's true, but not how you said it.
Teams can only have 1 player on a designated max extension deal(that's probably a more appropriate name for it, not sure what it is). Basically guys coming off their rookie deal can qualify for this. Teams can't have more than 1 of those contracts.
Brooklyn has Ben Simmons on that type of contract. Bam is on that type of contract. Meaning, Miami couldn't add Bam to a deal for KD as Bam would be the 2nd player on the Nets with that type of contract.

On the above, you could technically have 2 of those players on the Designated Rookie contract but you can't have 2 that were both acquired by trade.

Gobert to Wolves.
Odd combo considering KAT and his extension.

Gives KAT some relief on the defensive end so he can be more effective on offense. Him and JJJ led the league in fouls per game last season. If that gives him an extra 3-4 minutes on the floor per game it's a plus for the Wolves.

On the surface, I think it's a bonkers trade. But I get it. T-Wolves have a window with Russell, Edwards, KT and Gobert now. That's a lineup that can be consistently in the top 6 in the West if they are healthy. They'll matchup very well vs the Lakers, Nuggets and Grizzlies. They'll likely be weak vs GSW and the Suns. But there's not going to be a better opportunity out there in the next few years. If the picks are consistently going to be in the back half of the draft, I'm ok with taking the shot. It's not a great shot, but it's their best shot. Better than sitting around pissing away years for those young 3.

I also think 1st round NBA picks that aren't in the top 10 have become significantly devalued. So this looks a lot worse than it likely is.

Hope they do better than I do when taking a shot at OOTP.

If any of you pay for NBA League Pass each year, you should consider buying NBA 2K23 Championship edition for the upcoming season. I've read that the game and 12 months of league pass will end up being less than a full year subscription to League Pass. I intend to do this if that holds true.

Nice!
So buying the game includes the full year of League Pass?
Only issue for me is I'm a stickler for having League Pass on YouTube TV specifically, so that may not work for me.

I can teach you how to have it for $25 a month. That also includes the NFL package and the MLB package
