I know the feeling. Mine was sous chef for governor of KY for seven years, describing how good her food is doesn't do it justice. I just miss living at home sometimes only for that reason

Cnasty wrote:You are right on. Speaking of the Chipotle idea they just opened a place around the corner from us called Blaze Pizza. Exactly like Chipotle but for personal pizzas. You can get as many toppings as you want for one price and the oven gets to like 580 degrees and they are ready in 3-5 minutes. Went yesterday and was pretty impressed. Same pricing structure too.

Also regarding the specialization they have 3 or 4 different grilled cheese specialty places of every kind of grilled cheese you can imagine. People are out the door in line for these places when we go by. Its nuts.

There's a whole slew of them that I've been watching... I thought we talked about this recently. 2-3 of these specialty pizza places are going to jump out. Blaze and Rev are probably the most likely to succeed nationally.

-burger places
-chicken and waffles
-meatball places (literally just serve different types of meatballs)
-chicken nugget places (just serve high quality nuggets with a million different types of sauces)

we get pitched by so many of them to raise money. its hysterical the ideas people have. but specialized food restaurants/shops are enormously popular so alot of them are getting the money as everyone wants the next Chipotle idea

Nole special

There's a company here called Wild Eggs, they have a Chipotle-style Italian restaurant called Wild Strati Italian. Portion sizes are terrific, and it's basically like Chipotle--choose your pasta, your sauce, your meats (chicken, italian sausage, etc), peppers/onions/mushrooms, and so on. They toss it in a skillet and cook it right in front of you. Then you can add cheese bread, breadsticks, and so on. They also sell bottled beer to go with it. The food is delicious and very well done.
Piada... typically located near a Chipotle.

I was thinking of Trendon's comments tonight... we went down to the Reds game and it was pretty shit weather, so we hung out at the Holy Grail, which is is a local place, located right across from GABP. It was actually my first time eating there, because I typically go to the Moerlein Lager House before games. I ordered what I thought was going to be a badass burger... 3 cheese bacon and their house spicy bbq. Big disappointment. It was premade patty, unseasoned with 2 small strips of bacon. The only thing that made it remotely worthwhile was that the BBQ sauce was decent and the overall size wasn't bad. I chalked it up to "good volume" for the price (under $10).

First sign a kid is going to fail a final:

He has filled in the blank for answer "E" at least 8 times on a multiple choice test in which no question has more than four options.

My new personal fav I got at work yesterday.

Employee: "Pat did you get my email?"
Me: "yea I sure did, replied to it about two hours ago"
Employee: "Oh I haven't checked it yet"
Me: (to myself) get the fuck out of my office.

I'm so out of shape and have done so much walking and baby holding on my current vacation.

And every time I complain, my wife checkmates me by reminding me she's doing the same with a torn ACL

That feeling of turning your legs off the bed and attempting to put a little pressure on your foot is downright nauseating when in pain.

I have been drinking a ton of beer lately here. Only a matter of time before another gout attack flares up.
