Lmao that guy is an idiot. "than means the Irish won"
Because ND or the two team statkeepers, or the media/fans watching, or the people betting all missed it..
Not to mention the idiot obviously can't figure out that they would have TIED if you took away two points.
Except that if the guy who had recorded the video had stuck with it for another five seconds or so, he would have seen the official scorekeeper take the two points away from the Wildcats. We went and watched the game here and saw the score change back with our own eyes. So there's no conspiracy theory here. Kentucky earned their victory against Notre Dame and didn't win the game because of a scoring error.

why don't we just drop college sports and provide other professional alternatives for kids?
our selfishness as college fans would never go for that, which goes into the hypocrisy of the entire debate.

As he stated in the article, he actually is against paying players in college. He was talking more about the argument about if/when players can go pro after HS

Feels like a strawman argument...or some other cliche if that one doesn't fit here.

its just taking the debate 1 step further than where the mainstream debate takes it. obviously the system is broken, nobody is debating that... we've turned collegiate sports into a business. but i don't believe just paying the kids is the answer. you fall into the unintended consequences area when you 'TWEAK!'.
you start paying kids and college sports landscape is going to change drastically. 1) giving kids a few thousand bucks is a joke. oh you're making billions heres 10k a year? how is that fair to the 1 kid that the college game focuses on each year. Jameis might have been worth 50 mil to Fl St over the past few years, you're saying eventually the conversation won't jump to the difference between player 1 and player 2? 2) some schools won't be able to keep up and will be left out of division 1 or go bankrupt trying to keep up. 3) depending on how its structured its basically going to be corporations paying for kids anyways.
so instead of all that why not just create an alternative. make a minor leagues where we can pay these guys and funnel them into pro sports more prepared. allow them the option to be paid in some sort of a college tuition/salary option pay scale so kids still get their education paid for if they so choose. let colleges go back to education based establishments and let them have sports similar to how Ivy leagues have them.
obviously this will never happen because it would destroy universities inflows but if you want to solve the problem and not just stroke our 'save the children' narrative, thats the answer. but we as fans don't really give a fuck about saving the kids. we just hear this outcry and the easiest solution is 'pay them'. i just don't think the answer is that simple and think it would fuck up a lot more.
not to mention, i already believe kids get enough thru their scholarship and housing and other compensation.
and again, i lived this. i couldn't afford college, i got a scholarship for sports that allowed me to get a great education. i used that education to change my financial future thru my career. my scholarship was probably the most important thing that ever happened to me.

I saw and toured where ASU is putting Brady White (athlete dorms) compared to regular students and they are all being much more taken care of then the general population. It's not even close. His dorm looks like a palace compared to the regular dorm living students. And that is just one of the many perks.

Fun game so far. I don't think Wisconsin can keep this pace though. The ref's are letting them play and not calling the game tight, makes for a fun game to watch as a non fan of either team.

Crazy start, they said 35% of the Wildcats points this season were dunks and layups.

Everything we expected from this game.
Btw, guys who have watched Wisconsin this year: does Frank the Tank EVER get called for his hip checks on screens? Only one he's had called was the and-1 by KAT and they've shown replays of about five others so far.

Switch to TBS. Nantz and Raftery are on there. TNT and TruTV are doing the team stream thing for each team.
