Before today, I was indifferent, lots of rumors, none substantiated by anyone trustworthy.Weasel wrote:Theres no way that ends well, right?
Absurd sounds about right for the NFL.packsyd2284 wrote:This is gonna sound really dumb coming from me but can they really punish him for something over 3 years ago? That seems a little absurd to me.
When has Goodell ever followed any guideliens when punishing players?packsyd2284 wrote:This is gonna sound really dumb coming from me but can they really punish him for something over 3 years ago? That seems a little absurd to me.

This wasn't any of those things.The_Niddler wrote:It depends on the state and the crime.
I understand you saying why would the NFL care 3 years later, but say here in Ohio...
Sexual Assault, Rape, and some others, the statute of limitations is 20 years.
Without seeing the video and only going by the descriptions I would guess that there's a lot of serious crimes that could be in play here; assault, attempted abduction, holding someone against their will, and since two other guys were involved, conspiracy to commit several crimes. I'd think the statute of limitations on felonies like those isn't a year or two.packsyd2284 wrote:This wasn't any of those things.The_Niddler wrote:It depends on the state and the crime.

I don't know much about it. I have heard assault and he may have dragged a female. I am wondering what the hold up is on getting this out and how is something this big reamain a secret for almost four years now?LetsGoPeay wrote:Without seeing the video and only going by the descriptions I would guess that there's a lot of serious crimes that could be in play here; assault, attempted abduction, holding someone against their will, and since two other guys were involved, conspiracy to commit several crimes. I think the NFL got to the tape before deadspin etc... so they have the timeline and control over its release. Amazing what they can find when they put their minds to it... lolpacksyd2284 wrote:I don't know much about it. I have heard assault and he may have dragged a female. Didn't see that coming. Wow!
Salary saver for a system RB. He's a great player, but they can probably get similar results from a drafted or FA RB for way cheaper.LetsGoPeay wrote:Eagles trade LeSean McCoy to the Bills for Kiko Alonso. Strange trade to me.
