By the way, you want another Super Bowl hero to go along with Butler being the hero and Carroll being the goat? Dont'a Hightower. Watch the play he makes on the second-to-last play to somehow get to Lynch's legs at the one ... allowing just enough time for Carroll to lose his mind.

Lynch was successful only once this season on five attempts inside the one yard line. Only thing I can figure out made him throw

That said, if you're going to throw....you have a 6'5" wideout that the Patriots haven't stopped all game long in jump ball situations. Throw it to Matthews on the fade with the safeties in tight like that. Don't throw the slant where it can be jumped.

Still cannot believe they made that playcall

While I agree give it to Lynch, I heard a stat yesterday, watching some NFL Live or some other NFL program while working from home and where in that exact situation, this season there was something like 109 passes using a quick inside slant where 66 ended with a TD and none ending in an INT until that 1. It was just a great defensive play.
So it is not out of the question that they pass In that situation.
Again, I still think you give it to beast mode.

I believe that was the only TD thrown from the 1 yard line this season.

It's easy for us after the fact, but I still think the list of things that can go wrong is so much longer and more likely throwing that pass(batted ball, deflection off the WR, etc...) then if you either give to Lynch, throw a fade, or roll Wilson out.

I think the call to pass shouldn't be questioned it was the design by the play. He was a hard short of the GL (the wideout) anyway. Shoulda either pounded it in or a lil PA fake. Just got too cute at the end.

SportsCenter is showing the Seahawks cleaning out their lockers, then go to Jeff Saturday to discuss what locker room cleaning day was like for him when he lost the SB in 2009.

RIVETING!!!

So apparently LeGarrette Blount held upa t-shirt that read "bitch mode" during the Patriots parade that made its way around social media. Big deal, don't really care.

But at least own it. Blount followed up with this tweet:
About this shirt.. Just so ppl know, I have 100% respect for @MoneyLynch and how he plays the game. There's a reason he's called #BeastMode
Uhh yea...about that 100% respect thing.

Yeah, people here making a big deal about it saying he should get fined. The bigger question is what did Blount do? Yeah, nothing...

Let's all laugh at Jerry Rice's lack of self awareness

He calls the Patriots cheaters and in the same interview, nonchalantly says he used stickum like it was no big deal and not basically the exact same kind of cheating.
